Chester Posted April 19, 2013 Share Posted April 19, 2013 I'll try but someone could probably explain it better.......... Imagine a centre line drawn through the wheel. A negative offset indicated in mm is how much nearer the 'inside' of the wheel the mounting face is. A posative offset is how much nearer the outside of the wheel the mounting face is. So if you have a large positive offset there is a danger that the inside of the wheel could catch on suspension, brakes etc. A large negative offset could result in the wheel sticking out past the body work.
