DerekJ Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Hi All, Anyone know of an Xbox360 game I can play (multi-player not on line) with my grandson? We did Epic Micky 2 but I can't do the drive & race games for more than five minutes before I get board. Some kind of adventure game would be good but he's only ten so not too much blod/gore/violence please. Cheers DerekJ Quote
Dommo Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 The Lego games are usually quite a hit with kids and adults. Otherwise flicking through my games list for stuff that isn't racing/12+ and is multiplayer I've got: Civilization Revolution Worms Oh, that's it. In that case, I'd say Lego games would be your best bet. Quote
DerekJ Posted April 6, 2013 Author Posted April 6, 2013 Cheers Dommo, I'll give that a go this weekend. DerekJ Quote
Norman Verona Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Our 6 year old grandson play lots of games involving driving, not race track type but just driving through jungles and sand dune type of stuff. I can see why, when he's 17 and gets his first car he'll write it off in a few weeks. He crashes in the game and just starts again. No concept of the aftermath of crashing a car. Quote

He likes "Cars 2" and some sort of Sonic racing game. He just drives about and crashing for hours but I get board after two minutes so was looking for something we can play together. DJ Quote
jeremyf Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 I hate the fact most games for X-box are seemed aimed at bloodthirsty killing sprees. Unfortunately most of my 10 year old's mates' parents let them have these types of games even though they have 18 certificate so it gives me no end of mithering. To answer your question, and on a more positive note, Minecraft does hold both of my kids attention for probably half the time they are on the X-box, and seems to outlast all the other games they have. It's like electronic lego, so creative, with the occasional monster thrown in, and they play in each other's worlds, build stuff and so on. Quote
Captain Colonial Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Looks like a gap in the market - there should be one called "Get Off My Lawn", where you play either the kid or the middle-aged (or upwards) home owner. Kids get points for playing Doorbell Ditch, flaming dog poo in bag on porch, and generally aggravating the home owner; the home owner gets points for soaking the kids with a garden hose, getting the kids in trouble with their parents or the police, or eventually tasering the brats. Sounds like good clean fun. Quote
