I regret to say I have seen it, and it exceeded my recommended monthly allowance of both Stupid and Redneck within 25 minutes.  I was cringing with embarrassment throughout.

I have had the misfortune to watch this. How any company can be so badly run is a surprise. If that is really how the repo system runs in the states there is a wonder they don't get shot and stabbed more.

 

I still cannot work out if the woman is actually a man with her deep voice and her wide manly shoulders.

The show is based around scripted and reenacted scenarios. The show is a spin-off of the truTV series All Worked Up, and follows Ron, Amy and their team ofrepossession agents as they reenact repossession situations in Lizard Lick, North Carolina. The show is known for the copious amount of fights and brawls that take place during the repossessions.

Mrs C has it series linked and quite often wants to PM you to ask how real it really is.

The essence of it is sort of true - he was stabbed, etc. (just not there on camera; that's a reconstruction)

 

BUT, keep in mind that these are events as recalled by the owner and his wife, these are then translated into scripts and planned "shoots" by the producers/directors according to their own agendas. So you're immediately two steps removed from reality before it's shot.

 

I believe the business itself actually has ten working tow trucks.
