O.K, O.K.

I'll let you into my intended modifications for 2002, seeing as I'm hoping to take part in the "weekends" and get some serious mileage in.    ;)

I'm gonna get a half decent Multi CD/radio/cassette for the camper. I really can't face all those journeys again, listening to some obscure jazz station or some welsh  :arse:  jabbering on without using any vowels.  :p  :D  :)  reading the news about egg chasers.  :sheep:

I'll get me coat.

Blimey you have been busy! I guess the next time I see Alan Parkinson passing me on the motorway driving to an event he'll be doing 160 mph, not 145 which was previously limited by his dif ratio! Paul - do you mean you will be driving Tom's shiney yellow car? I heard you'd been doing a spot of decorating! Lindsay - you are not telling me much - you are too secretive - they say you have to watch the quiet ones! Adrian - 6 speed dog box? Sequential shift perhaps? Nice!!!

Right that's another 2 kilo's of lead going in the sole of my right shoe!!

Best regards

Windy

Do we tell him that sequential boxes are not allowed in his class  ???

No, o.k then  ;)

Its better to be secretive rather than hype up the car i mean what if its the drivers that need modifying!!

Muffin,

I think you may have hit my car's nail on the head  ....  :D

While I'm not doing the WSCC championship (spread too far over the country) I will be there for a few rounds.  What I planned:

New Wheels

Softer rear springs

Refit rear ARB

2 part foam seats

Quick rack

Improve suspension geometry

Some aero mods inspired by secret data on a 7 in a moving floor wind tunnel.

What I did:

New wheels!

And I still haven't fitted the new studs yet so I've only got about 4 turns holding the wheels on!  Not bad for 5 months work  :D

Thank you Adrian at least someone agrees more mph per 1000 rpm can be good.

A bit slow Windy, I have also fitted a new R380 gearbox which happens to have a higher 5th. If I ever get to 6000rpm in 5th I should hit 175mph! :p  :sheep:

How about tyres, I have been using BRIDGESTONE SO2s which seem very good the last 2 years. I had a look at the new SO3s which appear to suffer from F1 treatment of wider grooves, less rubber and so less grip!! BTMR still had 6 SO2s so I bought  one to go with my unused spare. Should see me OK for this year and next.

Oh yes I've signed up my co-driver for anothr year but I,m still number 1. See if there is a mutiny. :sheep:

Let's hear some more news.

Ok Ok, Pro Gearbox (i.e. one with mega loud bearings!!!!;) 62 mph first etc, 80mm wider track, new development 4 pot calipers, new eliptically grooved disks (Cat Motorsport), bit of powder coating here and there, full engine re-build, so far......., who knows what could happen before Loton Park!

You know ... when reading all the above I realise I'm not taking the WSCC Speed Series in any way serious  :p  .... and all my race budget car prep work is now happily sitting in some Aussie bank 12,000 mile away    Still I got me a 10 disc system ...... :)  :D  ;)  and some white bits
