Mark Stanton Posted February 20, 2002 Posted February 20, 2002 If there is anyone out there that is free on the weekend of 22 - 23 June (particularly 23) and would like to help out at The WSCC Sprint Meeting as a track marshal, please e-mail your details through. No previous experience is necessary, but common sense is a mandatory requirement - track marshals will be entered into a free prize draw. If you've always wondered what went on at the Speed Series meets - now's your chance to find out and become part of the increasingly popular WSCC Speed Series. Quote
Nick M Posted February 20, 2002 Posted February 20, 2002 If I'm in the country (possibility of an assignment to the US) then I'll help out as per last year. Nick Quote
Blatman Posted February 21, 2002 Posted February 21, 2002 I'll be there, helping myself to joint last place and 1 point............. It's not the winning, it's the Saturday night p*ss up that matters............... Quote
gee_fin Posted February 21, 2002 Posted February 21, 2002 Don't know if my car will be back by then so will marshall this time. Does this mean I can drink more beer the night before? Quote
Blatman Posted February 21, 2002 Posted February 21, 2002 Does this mean I can drink more beer the night before? I'm sure the marshalls normally sign on BEFORE scrutineering..... I see Clarkey is looking to buy an R500. Seems like an expensive way to get an excuse for backing out of class A............ Quote
gee_fin Posted February 21, 2002 Posted February 21, 2002 I'm sure the marshalls normally sign on BEFORE scrutineering..... Eep. Well, I'll still be there then, with shades on a Salty Dawg. Minus the vodka. Clarkey's undecided I think, all seems an offer he can't refuse.....I'll let him talk about it though as I'm not sure which way he's going. Quote

As it's you I'm sure you have all our sympathy, hopefully your afflication won't last too long and you get well soon RON SIDDLE's 50th BIRTHDAY AT CURBOROUGH I hope everyone can keep that secret I.S.M - I reckon that "The Rocket" is gonna kill ya when he finds out who let the cat out of the bag Quote
Blatman Posted February 22, 2002 Posted February 22, 2002 If "The Rocket" is gonna take on I.S.M, we'd better get him (The Rocket) something to stand on. Crate of lager, perhaps...... Quote
Clarkey Posted February 24, 2002 Posted February 24, 2002 Blatman, it is true, if the nerve holds out I will be ordering the R500 on monday, so no Speed series fun for me this year. I'll be there to watch though, and will volunteer to marshall (the new car should be finished by then too..) Quote

Jamie Quote
Mark Stanton Posted February 24, 2002 Author Posted February 24, 2002 Yep he sure did - actually going on a course may even qualify you as Chief Marshal Although you won't be competing at WSCC Curborough, I'm sure you'll have more than one opportunity to take the points from yer Pa. Quote
