Posts appear to go missing

I have the system set to email when my posts get quoted.

 

Twice in the last week I have notifications but the posts which quote mine are not there. I've checked and do not have any "ignores".

 

Is something wrong or is it a coincidence and two posters have deleted their posts after making them.

maybe the mods have been busy though your now suppose to receive a pm i think. i have experianced this in the past too. not for a while now though

Norman, to my knowledge and investigation, there have been no posts made by you in the past few weeks that have been hidden or deleted by the Moderation Team - I can only conclude that the posts you quoted were deleted by the OP.

Scott, there is a possibility of that as one could be construed as "rude" and the other is factually incorrect. I'll cut and paste them in a pm.

It's fairly common for people to post in the heat of the moment, or even just off the cuff type comments, see them in the cold light of print and decide to delete almost immediately.

Got to hold my hand up here, I replied to a couple of your posts Mr Verona, and then realised that you were joking so I deleted my post pdq before read by anyone. Must admit that both times I had, had a drop or two:-))))
