Hi fellas, I am having overheating problems with my Westfield SE. I have disconnected the fan temperature cooling switch before running a wire across the two connections, the fan powers up and runs consistently with no issues so I believe the fan is functioning correctly. I ordered a new fan temp switch (88c / 79c) and fitted this morning but the problem is still there, I ran the car for 15 minutes or so and the temperature steadily rose to 105c without the fan switching on. Do any of you have any advice on where I should be looking next? I would rather not connect the fan directly to a switch on the dash if possible, although the car is starting to leak oil once temps get above 100c so thats' what i will do in the short term.
I wonder if someone could help me. I'm fitting new LED indicators to my 2008 SEiW, leaving the rest as standard. I need to replace the existing relay as they are flashing too fast but for the life of me I can't find where the existing relay is. The chap I bought it from followed the build plans religiously so I suspect it's in the 'usual' place. Can anyone give me a clue where that is? Photos would help this 'novice but happy to have a go' member. Also would any LED indicator relay work or do I have to get one that works for LED and non LED. Thanks for your help
dave_t posted a topic in Tech TalkOne of my planned winter 'upgrades' is to redo my dash, including replacing the Westfield switchgear with Savage switches. To keep the number of switches down, I'd prefer to have just a single switch operating both sidelights and headlights together (so that they come on at the same time). But is anyone aware of any legal/ MOT issues with this? And are there any practical issues, that I've not foreseen? Do most people, with Savage switches, install seperate sidelight and (dipped) headlight switches? Or has anyone installed just a single switch, bringing both on together?
