Bit of a long shot: for all you 'Seven' history aficionados and experts… Or anyone with an early SE got any ideas/photos of what they use? can you help please? I have windscreen pillars from an early Westfield and am looking for wing mirrors to fit. Connection to pillar uses M5 threaded bolts through holes at 36mm centres (give or take a mil!). Ideally the mirror will be fixed to a stem of between 100mm and 180mm long like the 1960's Sevens sometimes used (I'm not an expert on 'Seven" history, see Wikipedia 1965 Lotus Seven series II) and if possible with convex glass mirror. If the base plate is slightly concave that would be a bonus. Photo of pillar attached. Alternatively a 'bullet' style racing mirror provided the mirror can rotate through 90 degrees to the base. Base plate width needs to be as near to 20mm or 3/4" as possible. I've trawled the internet for several weeks with no luck yet, but if anyone can suggest a classic/vintage/historic car parts site I'd welcome any suggestions. Post here or please pm. Thanks! Gareth

Hi all, Not sure where to start with this but I have ended up with most parts needed to rebuild a 1989 Westfield SE. The car is not registered and I would suspect many parts are past their best! I bought this for spares for my build but ended up not using much (maybe just gearbox in the end). I would like to get rig of much as possible in one go but will split. I need the space so keen to move the chassis and bodywork! Please see the pictures below. Sorry not very organised! I do not know the value so please can you make offers? (Do let me know if this is not allowed on here but I cannot see this rule in the sticky post at the top). Many more pictures to upload.... PS the items are in Worcestershire (near Evesham / Stratford upon Avon)

After wanting to build and run a Westfield for over 20 years this past year I finally got chance to realise my dream but it is with a heavy heart I have to consider selling my freshly build Westfield. I have been offered a very nice 997 at a price I just can't resist and having known the car for sometime I cannot let this pass by if this sells. For anyone who is interested here is a link to the build thread : Build Thread All purchased new from Westfield June 2018 and the car has now covered 1000 miles with very very little in the way of teething problems. The car has completed one trackday at Blyton Spec : Registered 1/3/19 Electric Blue bodywork 2.0 Blacktop Zetec on Omex throttle bodies and fitted with a raceline sump. New style FW bodywork with no rear plate recess Sport turbo seats black with blue piping Mazda LSD Pro race 1.2 wheels 7" fronts, 8 " rears fitted with Nankang NS-2R's Westfield Hi-spec brake upgrade new front pads just replaced as the EBC's were not to my liking All LED lights front and rear AIM MXS Strada 1.2 Dash with AIM VIM kit Carbon - Dash, front wings, mirror covers, rear arch stone chip covers, diffuser and cage hole covers Genuine Aerocatch bonnet catches OMP Trecento wheel with quick release column TRS 4 point harnesses 8 channel Freewheel setup with wheel backplate (although I am only using 4 of the channels MSA safety devices cage Only ever seen Vpower fuel through its very short life ! Protech Trackday adjustable dampers Perpsex side wind deflectors Full silicone hoses. Full Geo and corner weight setup at Playskool motorsport less than a month ago. The only addition I was going to consider is some stiffer rear springs as if your lardy like me when two up the car feels way to soft at the rear. Oil changed for Quality 5/30 fully Synthetic ester oil around 600 miles. I have another 5 litres of 5/40 and a few oil filters that will come with the sale All bodywork and wheels were machine polished and had a Gyeon ceramic coating applied at the end of the build making it very hydrophobic. This kit was built with the intention of me keeping it many years (or until I could afford a 997 911!) so everything has been done to the greatest of my ability and with no corners cut on the spec I wanted, It really saddens me to even post this up but the wife has signed off on a 911 and knowing her mood swings I need to grab this by the balls. Any inspection welcome - viewing can be arranged most days or evenings - You can contact via phone or via PM on here.

Hello and welcome After much deliberation i have decided to sell my pride and joy after 9 years of ownership. (I am the 5th owner) Having covered a mere 1,300 miles in that time i can no longer warrant keeping it and it deserves to go to someone who will get more use out of it. The car has been sat for 4 years so gives you an idea of just how little it has been used. (house renovation and road cycling take up most of my time). The reason for buying the car was i'd had recently had my beloved RS Turbo written off by a run away car while it was parked on the driveway but as it had only just been fitted with a new engine i couldn't bring myself to sell it and thats when i decided to buy a CVH Westfield so that i could fit the engine with little engineering required, well, from the point of getting the engine in at least! The car was extensively adapted and modified to make the engine and car perform at it best with no expense spared, below are a list of what was undertaken during the build. English axle was fitted with a Quaife ATB diff along with all new half-shaft bearings and powder coated drums/back plates. (sub 1k miles) Fuel tank was modified to take a swirl pot to prevent fuel starvation to the Cosworth HP fuel pump Engine was fitted with the correct flywheel/brand new uprated Techniclutch cover, thrust bearing & plate (Type 9 5 speed box) Brand new aluminium polo radiator which has been spaced to give a more vertical position over the standard sloped position for better airflow. Nosecone has also been tastefully opened up to aid airflow. Also has a brand new fan which runs off the usual thermostat sensor and also a switch. I designed and had made a water cooled inlet manifold which has its own separate radiator and electric water pump which also runs on the same system as the charge cooler (water cooled intercooler) which was also modified from the RS Turbo to the correct inlet/outlet orientation. All hoses are silicone from siliconhoses.com with custom stainless sections Brand new fiesta header tank Mikalor Stainlesss hose clamps here and there, mainly on the boost system and cooling system Induction Filter Oil breather/seperator Brand new oil cooler with thermostat. Wheels are 15" Compomotve MO's (getting rare) Anthracite Grey and are as mint as the day they were powder coated. (Has TOYO Proxes 888 at the rear in mint condition) Rear lights are all LED (with the exception of the number plate light). Has correct relay for correct timed flashing of the indicators. Exhaust was custom made by Mick at Wacky Racers and features a Titanium Silencer which has the 2.5" bore all the way through (repackable but never touched/opened). Innovate Motorsport Lamda sensor/gauge added so you can keep an eye on the Air/Fuel ratio. Rollbar was freshly powder coated. The specification of the engine is; 1.6 CVH overbored +0.5mm with all new ACL HD bearings, genuine Ford Pistons, ARP stud Kit, Genuine For Head Gasket, New Oil pump gaskets etc (Had about 1k miles on it when it came out the RS Turbo) Kent Cams CVH 35 with vernier pulley Custom inlet manifold as above, this was adapted from the EFI manifold Cosworth yellow injectors Level 6 ECU mapped to 1.6 8v from 2.0 16. Fuel pump runs on a new separate braided loom Bosch 044 Group A Cosworth throttle body, 3 bar MAP sensor, crank, phase sensors. Standard T3 turbo unit with 2 stage boost Braided HP fuel supply hose NGK plugs , heat value 8. Modified Pace Chargecooler running Chill Charger additive 1 way breather valve on the petrol tank The car has had the following to bring it back into commission and get it ready for its MOT which was on 11th May 2018. (It flew through) New diff oil - Fuchs Titan SYN5 75/90W (Quiafe recommended and all its ever had) New coolant/antifreeze Engine oil/filter change (the oil that came out looked like new but thought best change after 4 years) Correct at 10w/40 Archoil AR9200 V2 Nano MO-WS2 Friction Modifier All new brake fluid with brand new pistons/seals in the front calipers as they were a little draggy. New cambelt, again like new but thought best be safe than sorry New alternator belt Freshly powder coated rocker cover in a textured black. The previous one was chrome but had began to surface rust which didnt want to polish out. New rubber rocker cover gasket New coolant/chill charger to the inlet cooling system Hydra additive added to the fuel to give the system a thorough clean New distributor o-ring oil seal New rubber fuel pipes (Supply from tank to pump and from pressure regulator back to the tank) Replace a few of the bolts on show that were slightly discoloured (me being picky) Added the decals to the switches on the dash as it never had them along with new dash lights which have the symbols (Again me being picky) Brand new manifold gasket Self adhesive number plate added as i never got round to putting it on. The car was first registered 1st April 1997 and i acquired the car on 5th April 2009 and is on a Q-Plate . It is in great condition considering its age and really turns heads when its out. It does have a few marks here and there but nothing that detracts you from what is a great looking car. When the car was last MOT'd it had only done 6,782 miles (was at 5,459 when i brought it) so it has been nowhere really. The car is in Navy/Chrome yellow and has the lockable boot, side windows and some form of cover which covers the seat area (has always been in the boot and ive never used it). The external of the car is exactly as i brought it regards stickers etc, i just added the adhesive plate. The engine really sounds like a wrist watch so don't confuse this with the CVHs of old that got abused and had servicing neglected, this has non of the usual top end cam rattle whatsoever, it purs like a kitten! Ive probably missed loads of things but please get in touch if you require an further information. I have hundreds of photos of the build process and receipts coming out of my ears to. Looking for £7,999 ono Regards Chris

New visitor here. Mark from Oxfordshire. I have an orange and black complete Zetec SE kit on order and I should be picking it up in two weeks time ( fingers crossed weather etc). This is my second build, sort have got a rather expensive build habit forming. I have to confess I embraced the dark side first, I assembled a Caterham 160 in 2016 / 2017. All IVA'd and great fun on road and track, looking forward to the challenge of assembling the Westy 2 Litre, the test drive was great so looking forward to 150 BHP vs 80 BHP. House rule is I can keep the 160 till the Westy is IVA'd after that I have to decide which I like best and sell the other, not looking forward to that decision, but we have to eat apparently. Spec for westy. Wide front track, 4 point harness, MSA Roll Bar, Heater, Half hood, sidescreens, Turbo seats, westy calipers, stone guards. Will do a youtube channel for the westy build and link it to this forum if that is allowed. Did a youtube channel for 160 build if anybody interested https://youtu.be/LLMKo96xB4w No pipe bending. simple wiring and fewer rivets, so I am expecting more fun with Westy build. Ah well better book the Luton. Just one question. Are Westfield reliable with collection date ? They keep saying 16 March, should I expect a last minute delay ? Regards

SOLD - 1990 SE Narrow Body Rolling Chassis £1250
Mark (smokey mow) posted a topic in Westfields for Sale
With the pace picking up on the new project I really need this out of my way, I am therefore listing it for sale for one final time before it goes into storage. I have amended the description, removing some of the parts that were previously included so as to reduce the base price and offer a massive price reduction. Please note that this base price is non-negotiable however I am more than happy to discuss prices if you are also looking to buy any of the other body panels or running gear I also have available separately for this car. I was building this car for no other purpose than the enjoyment of doing so and it had always been my intention to sell the car on when it was completed. The rebuild of the car and its history in my ownership is well documented in my rebuild thread (see link below), so it's only for me to describe further what will be included in this sale. http://forum.wscc.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic/88905-smokey’s-narrow-rebuild/?p=893554 The chassis is a 1990 SE Live axle Narrow body. It is not road registered, and to the best of my knowledge has spent its whole life as a track and race car. It was my intention to rebuild the car as a cheap track-day toy. I bought her in 2011 from the previous owner who was breaking her following an on-track accident. The damage was limited to the front of the chassis and engine bay tubes, which also because of previous modifications were cut out by me and replaced with new. All the photos of this work are available in my build blog. The chassis comes with all the necessary major parts with the exception of a few nuts and bolts to complete this to a rolling chassis stage. The front wishbones have been fitted only for the photographs but have been removed again for ease of storage. The nuts for the front suspension ball joints are missing and I also don't have any steering track rod ends. Also included in the sale will be copies of all purchase invoices, receipts, and build photographs which would be required should you decided to IVA the car. Chassis Transmission tunnel has been widened from 9" to 12" to accommodate an Mx5 gearbox. Chassis was degreased and undercoated with grey POR-15 and with 2 topcoats of satin black. New mounting bosses for 4-point harnesses welded on. Floor is panelled in 2.0mm NS4 aluminium, back panel and tunnel in 1.2mm 1050a aluminium. 3 additional unfitted panels will also be provided for the cockpit shoulder panels and scuttle top panel. The copper brake lines are installed and fitted with unions, 3 flexible brake pipes are included. A short length of brake pipe still needs making up for the rear axle. No fuel lines are fitted or included. Steering Brand new (from Westfield) upper steering column with lock and 2 keys. A bracket still needs making to attach the top of the steering column to the dash hoop. Mountney classic steering wheel with Allegro boss and crashpad. Lower steering column. Mk2 Escort steering rack and rack mounts. Bodywork Wide body detachable arch tub cut and modified for fitment to a narrow chassis. Rear of tub still needs either fibre-glassing together, or joining with an aluminium flange. Narrow body scuttle (in need of painting) Front suspension Cortina uprights, fitted with alloy hubs. M16 calipers with Ferodo DS2500 pads and solid discs Cortina bottom balljoints (look new but one has a small tear in the gator) Transit top balljoints Spax front dampers with springs (the dampers need replacing, but springs are in good condition and useable) Standard track front wishbones refurbished and fitted with new bushes. Rear suspension Escort live axle fitted with Westfield 4-link brackets. 9" drum brakes, all cleaned and rebuilt. 3.9 open diff Trailing arms and panhard rod, all fitted with new metalastic bushes. Gaz rear dampers are brand new, and come with dyno plots and springs. Handbrake, and cables are all fitted and working. Other Stuff Westfield wide Race Seat and mounting frame. Narrow body Westfield "RAC" braced rollbar with back stays. Set of 5-off capri laser (similar to RS) alloys with tyres (tyres all need replacing) Full set of correct open wheel nuts. The rolling chassis parts as described above I am offering for £1250 no offers The following parts are not included but I do have available separately Brand new yellow high-line narrow body bonnet (still in delivery crate) Brand new black high-line narrow body nose cone Full set of Westfield Pedals Tandem brake master cylinder Brand new Polo Radiator and Westfield mounting brackets 1600 MX5 engine and gearbox Fabricated Westfield engine and gearbox mounts to suit MX5 engine Westfield Exhaust Manifold for Mazda engine Pair of new wide body detachable rear arches in Black The car is located on the Essex/Suffolk boarder just north of Colchester. I have a trailer and may be willing to deliver locally at cost depending on distance and location. I can be contacted by PM or email to wsccessex@btinternet.com any questions please ask Thanks for looking. Mark- 26 replies
