    New Carpet Set

I bought this set from Terry for my 99 SEiW but they don’t quite fit. They are made for a Megabusa BEC so I assume they’ll fit bike engined cars perfectly. The car they came out of was brand new so as you can imagine the carpets are in fantastic condition. I paid £95 so just looking to get my money back for them. Located in Warwick but can probably post at cost.

    What kit to go for?

Hi! New member from Sweden here and i recently found this great site. Im very keen on building my own Westfield and has set it as a goal in life Don't really know what type to go for as a stumble between a Meg S2000 as a former hondafreak or go with bike motor. Will mainly use it on road but of course track it a few times a year. Any hint or tips on how to think when choosing object? Very new to car work so nervous on if/how to fix building one but as i said its a dream and a way to prove to myself that im not that bad in handy work as i always thought! Sorry for long post

    Looking for a Megabusa

Looking for a Megabusa. The engine condition is immaterial, so preferably standard, with problems, or even missing! I will obviously be happy to consider a complete car, but I'm more interested in a chassis with suspension etc. built for hills/sprint. Also consider a car needing some work, but it must be bike engined. I would prefer a full roll cage. I'm building a car to compete in the 2018/19 Speed Series. I hope someone can help.... Tony

    2007 Megabusa

I never planned this so soon but unfortunately family reasons force me to do it. So I only finished the car few months ago and got it to the standard I am really happy with. Car is kept in secure garage and ready for anyone to come and have look. I paid for it £15K last year and spent over £4.5K in parts alone since December. I am looking for £17K with no negotiations or £16K without the carbon Tilletts. Car is based in Aberdeen and you can contact me on stachowij@aol.com or 07949880266. It has just been serviced by Ricky Gauld (£300). Please get in touch if you want more high quality pictures or videos but some pictures can be found here: So here are some changes I did over the winter: Body panels fixed and painted in katsura orange (£1300) Two brand new carbon B6 tillett seats fitted (£1050) Brand new Willan Silverstone 6 point Harness (£370) Brand new Carbon splitter (£160) Brand new Carbon tunnel cover (£90) Brand new carbon roll bar bolt covers (£60) Brand new carbon rear diffuser (220) Brand new carbon boot lid (£120) Two sets of black aerocatches – (£110) Roll cage sand blasted and painted in satin black with new caged sticker (£220) Side panels wrapped in satin black (£150) 3D printed brackets (£120) Service (£300) Body repairs (£300) Carbon flared extension panels fitted Car is in excellent condition. And Here is advertisement from last year when I bought it: “Since I have owned the car I have competed in about 6 hillclimbs and had great fun doing plenty of road driving on the weekends. The car had never missed a beat. The engine is incredible, a standard Busa engine produces 175bhp and this one is running 185bhp with out any engine mods (dyno print out to prove) When I first got the car I had it serviced with new spark plugs also by Pete at Bike Tech in Padtsow and at the end of season I had the engine taken out by David at Richards Bros of Redruth and sent to Karl at extreme engines to check the engine over. The reason for doing this is because I wanted Karl to check the engine over as I was then planning on keeping the car and depending on what Kark said I was considering taking it up to 1400cc Karl said a really common problem with the Busa engine is that the 2nd and 6th gear dogs are not undercut and he replaces them all the time but never puts back in the same standard Hayabusa 2nd & 6th gears as he has seen them slip again in a little as 200 miles, so I decided that would be a better area to spend some money as Karl said that after inspecting the engine it was in great condition (Karl would be happy to verify this I'm sure) and power was never an issue anyway. He also blanked off the exhaust gas recirculation as its a waste of time having it on there. David Richards of Richards Bros who removed the engine bled the whole system dry and cleaned it thoroughly, put in new oil, changed the oil filter and changed the clutch fluid. Richards Bros got the Busa on the rolling road to run through the gears and check they were all working nicely which they were, whilst on the rollers David did a power run where the car produced 185bhp. The car is running so sweet since then, its amazing. The work carried out by Extreme engines and Richards Bros came to £1500. It has also just had a new 12 months MOT which it sailed through. I also had all of the rear 6 rose joints upgraded to the NMB military grade ones by Toniq Sports Cars as I was told they are indestructible and didn't think much of the Westfield ones. After that I had a Geo set up by Hatton Motorsport. The car has also literally just had 4 brand new road legal R888's fitted (SG compound) they've done about 20 miles. I have loads of documentation/receipts for the car, literally every receipt since birth including the stuff I have listed above. 2007 Westfield Megabusa SEIW 5-6k miles done since built Standard 1300cc Hayabusa engine (new oil, filter, plugs, coils this year) dyno print out done this year at with strong 185bhp Power commander 3r Westfield dry sump (new belt and tensioner fitted this year) Carbon air box Westfield reverse box Westfield alloy hubs all round Ap racing mc, wilwood 4pots at front 265mm discs(new this year), Sierra rear calipers with mintex 1144 pads Full caged cage with FIA padding Ab performance gearchange paddles using rods and a flatshifter pro for clutchless up and down shifts (new this year) Freelander 3.21 Quaife LSD Westfield Wide track front end Suspension all nylon bushed Protech shocks all round built/tested by Procomp (new this year) Playskool ARBs front/rear Carbon double bubble aeroscreen Carbon dash Carbon pedal cover Carbon csr cycle wings Carbon sill protectors Carbon moulded rear arch protectors Carbon winglets Caterham style front indicators 3" 6 point lightweight alloy willams Silverstone passenger harness Brand new Dash2 complete with DL1 logger fitted this year Dash uses full set of savage switches, with push button indicators using backoff module 7"x13" 3 piece image wheels with basically new Soft R888 tyres (205/60/13 all round) Carbon silencer new this year (also included standard Westfield stainless version with cat for MOT's) Omp 300mm suede steering wheel on extended and quick release steering column Lithium battery FIA cut off switch on dash Softbits Tonneau cover (new this year) I'll chuck in the Tonneau cover and a spare set of 4 used A048's for free for the buyer of the car.”

    Megabusa Diary

I bought this Megabusa last month after seeing it here. The last owner used it in hill climbs so it has already some nice goodies. It’s a 2007 model and although looks like good condition car, it needs some TLC and this topic will cover my journey with the Busa. Car will get used this year quite a lot, road trips, track days and perhaps even hill climbs. I plan to full strip and rebuild the car next winter but until then I here is plan for this year: Paint wheel Paint exterior / change colour Paint cage Fit wider carbon seats Fit carbon one piece tunnel and sides Fit anodised billet gear lever Fit carbon FW body diffuser Fit carbon side panels Fit Trigger handbrake Fit new harnesses Replace fuel tank / long range Fit carbon half doors Fit carbon roll bar bolt covers I also want carbon bonnet and nose cone but can’t find anyone to supply me with these parts

Hi has any body ever installed a GI pro gear indicator onto a Megabusa? Is it easy? Do you have to cut any wires? thanks Tom

    Megabusa geometry

Hi, picked up my Megabusa today and want to start making sure it is set up properly as it has only done 160miles from build and geometry never set up. Has any one got some basic camber, toe, ride heights etc for fast road occasionally track use for a westy Megabusa, just to get me started?
  12. I am selling my high specification road going Westfield Megabusa as I have recently put a deposit on a different 300bhp Westfield with a ridiculous spec which I just couldn't resist. I will be extremely sad to see the Busa go as it is such an amazing car. I have owned it for the last 10 months since buying it from Greg Barton. Greg owned the car for 2 years and in the first year he stripped and rebuild it with lots new parts ready to compete in and then competed in around 5 hillclimbs the following year, he said that it ran reliability all year. Since I have owned the car I have competed in about 6 hillclimbs and had great fun doing plenty of road driving on the weekends. As I store the the car in the trailer the buyer of the Busa will have first refusal on the trailer but if they don't want it then I will happily sell to anyone who is interested in it. The trailer is fitted with an electric winch and long lead remote. It is about 8 months old and like new! I wouldn't take less than £15,000 for the Busa and £3,600 for the trailer. I'm not one for haggling so I have given my bottom line now to save everyone the agro. I paid £17,000 for the Busa and I have spent a few grand on it since buying it. The trailer was £6,300 about 8 months ago so that's a huge saving for someone on what is pretty much a brand new trailer (receipt/invoice available) I'll chuck in the Tonneau cover, the Carbon fibre flared sides and a spare set of 4 used A048's for free for the buyer of the car. If you are interested or have any questions please contact Mitch on; 07896071413 or precisionwoodwork@hotmail.co.uk I have spent the last 2 hours trying to copy the photos of the Megabusa from photo bucket but I can't seem to do it for some reason? Every time I try and copy the IMG code it won't copy it then pastes a sentence copied previously. I am on apple mac if anyone has any advice please? In the mean time I can email pics to anyone who is interested. Thanks for looking. Link to PGR website for mini sporter dimensions etc; http://www.prgtrailers.co.uk/covered-trailers/minisporter.php
  13. Hi All, I've just booked the Busa in with Northampton Motorsport for rolling road, new shocks, suspension corner weighting and Geo set up. I'm also thinking of having Wide Track fitted, may as well get it all done properly, but I'm not sure if I already have Wide Track fitted. So, what are the measurements I can check to see if i have the standard front or wide track front? Cheers Paul

    Cracked Chassis - Diff Cage

Hi All, At the last event which was at bumpy North Weald it appeared the fuel tank had shifted sideways and was punctured by one of the roll cage bolts. So I've been out tinkering in the garage getting ready for the 2016 season today with the first job being to repair the hole in the fuel tank. Simple enough I thought.........but.....It appears the reason for the tank shifting is due to the chassis cracking around the diff cage on all four corners! Can anyone recommend someone in or around Essex to repair this? Cheers Paul
  15. New Build Westfield Megabusa rolling chassis, built as non- road legal sprint & hill climb car. The Spec includes: - New megabusa chassis - New extra light weight body in Ford Olympic blue - looks great - New ‘Full Caged’ Roll Cage - New double adjustable Protech shocks all round (adjust both bump and rebound) – these are the expensive ones! - New wide track wishbones - New brake callipers & discs all round ‘Wilwood 4 pots’ on the front & high spec 2 pot rear - New light weight hubs - All new Aeroquip braided brake pipes - New Aeroquip fuel lines - New steering rack / steering column bushes, etc. - New quick release boss & new momo steering wheel - New full AB Performance paddle shift & cable - New AB Performance high tensile engine flange to suit high power Hayabusa engine - New AB Performance / Bailey Morris uprated prop shaft to suit high power Hayabusa engine - New 7 ½ Cosworth LSD & casing - New AB Performance full exhaust system to suit high power hayabusa – this would also benefit a standard engine - New high back carbon fibre Tillet seat - New full harness - New Radtec alloy radiator & new Packet electric fan - New Carbon Aerosceen & rear cover etc, etc - Front and rear anti-roll bars - Small race fuel tank - The list just keeps going on and on and on! - Car will be sold with one set of Image split rim wheels 8in Front & 10in Rear The car has only been used on 4 dry events so snagging from the new build has been done. The only reason this car is for sale is a change of direction - I have gone back to a single seater. This car was mainly built and set up by Trev at Tranzpower, there was no expense spared when building this Westfield. This would also be a great clean base to convert to road going if that is your bag as all the hard work has been done already. Please only call me if you are seriously interested. You only need to tot up some of the items listed above to realise this is an extremely good buy for someone who is looking for a proper piece of kit which amazingly is new. looking for around £10,000 - only serious interest please and no tyre kickers. I will email photos to interested parties, just give me a shout – thanks. Contact Dave Tel:07831 838898

    Is the engine stolen?

Hi All I'm currently looking for a new engine for my Megabusa after my one threw a con rod at Goodwood last weekend. Does anyone know how I can check if an engine has been stolen, normally you can check the VIN when buying a car but just checking an Engine number seems to be difficult. Was thinking maybe ask my local Suzuki dealer, but does any one else have any other ideas or web sites that i could use? Cheers Paul
  17. The last even at North Weald I left feeling a bit frustrated by the huge margin by which the others had beaten my by plus my struggle to actually put a clean lap in! I was hoping for more sun shine but the weather forecast was for rain all day, never having driven the Busa in the wet i knew this would be an interesting day should it rain. The morning was actually nice and dry for the cruise over to the event how ever as is typical 2mins before the 1st practice run the rain started... for some reason the marshals wouldn't let me drive round holding the brolly! Watching the other competitors slip and slide round the airfield it was with some trepidation that I lined up to the start line, especially with my braking troubles in the dry at the previous events. The track was incredibly slippery even in 5th gear i was unable to use full throttle as the rears would just spin up, but I made it round both practice laps without incident and only 1 second off the other guys in my class so was quite happy with that. Green Belt managed to fit in 1 timed run before lunch in order to try and get a lap in before the weather worsened, i took this as an opportunity to bank a clean lap in knocking 5 seconds off my best practice run however so did the other guys leaving me trailing by 1.2 seconds.Still I was happy with that performance in the challenging conditions so treated my self to a Greasy Cheese Burger from the catering van :-) After lunch the conditions hadn't really changed so some more slippery fun was in order, putting in my best lap of the day giving my 2nd in class 0.9 seconds ahead of 3rd place and 9th overall. The class winner was another westfield who was a whole 4 seconds faster... though my racing driver excuse is that he did have traction control which would have been handy in those conditions!!! Looking forwards to the next event Hethel 4th May
  18. First ever sprint in the Busa. I dont have a trailer for the Busa so i'm keeping the events I do fairly local in and around Essex, the 1st event of the year was at Northweald only 20 mins drive from home, as anyone who has raced there knows, has its own weather system but fortunately for all of us the weather was excellent. Except for giving it some welly in a straight line the Busa is so bl**dy fast that you really cant get anywhere near the limit on the road, so first practice run was really the first time i had ever been able to throw it around. Heart pounding on the start line waiting for the green light (no other sport gives you that sort of feeling) 4k rpm drop the clutch and wheel spin away from the line, 2nd gear, 3rd gear, wow this sequential box is awesome think I'll go for 4th gear, BRAKE, there's the corner why isn't this thing turning, both front wheels must be locked up as I sail straight past the corner, quick doughnut round and carry on round the rest of the lap locking up in almost every single braking zone. Not the best first lap but a still a huge amount of fun! The rest of the event was pretty much the same, I only managed to post one official time with the rest of my with me struggling to slow the thing down, mainly caused by myself not realising just how fast i'm going but also I think down to the Medium compound A048s on the front. Next event i'll have a set of soft compound A048s on the front to match the rears which should hopefully help me make up the huge 5 seconds deficit to the other guys in my class!!! Next event North Weald with Green Belt motor club 20th April
