Following my build I have noticed a noise coming from the rear of the car, I initially put it down to the sound of the fuel pump. However I have just had my car set up by Luke at Playskool and he identified the noise as coming from the rear brakes – as if they are binding. (I fitted a set of Westfield HiSpec 4 pot brake callipers to the front and rear of my FW Special Edition car.) I took the car home and examined the discs of the brakes. As can be seen from the picture there is marking around the outer portion of the disc – as if the pads are binding. It is the same on both the nearside and offside wheels. It is larger than the hand brake pad – and could well be the size of the main pads. Has anyone come across this problem before – is there a method of adjusting the pads? I have not as yet taken the pads out – as I do not have a tool to wind the pistons back in.
