Here goes with another build diary....... Some background .... thanks to @SteveB21. I saw his chassis on trestles in late Jan, with the fuel and brake lines in, and thought out loud "Hey I'd like to do that". Much to my surprise this was met with no resistance by anyone including my wife! Whoops ... I better read a bit more before committing to anything :-)! After reading @SteveB21's diary and also @Benrobson2999 @MikeJG @BobMet 's and a few others I paid a deposit in the 2nd week in April and was given the 3rd week in June as a pick up date! I got the chance to visit the factory when picking up @SteveB21's body work to see the collection starting for my car! Got the garage tidy enough on one side.... And picked up on the 3rd week in June only to go on holiday for 2 weeks!! Managed to get this far without buying anything much except the trestles and a completely useless 200kg dolly with wheels which broke as soon as the engine touched the side of it on the tail lift! We had to drag the engine on some carpet from the van to the garage! So I have just returned from holiday and will continue another day...... IMG_6960.pdf IMG_6960.pdf

Hello, Dipping my toe for the first time into Forums, umm bit nervous to be honest don't know what all the protocol's are , asked by Daughter what's a Tag? Anyway here I go FW special kit is sitting on a table in my rented garage in Oxfordshire it will be I hope one day a > Black lower with white upper 170 hp Limited slip diff brakes upgrade heater I have already cheated by getting chassis panels, wiring, fuel pipes and brake pipes factory fitted due to a last minute wobble in confidence. Now I have made a tentative start but soon ran into difficulties with the Diff, a grim day that I would not want to repeat as my friend/helper John left me to it saying " It don't fit and wont fit" in the end I agreed and gave in. A couple emails back and forth to Westfield and a van was dispatched to return my chassis for inspection, it turns out that a welding error had occurred. Anyway eight days later the chassis was returned with the Dif fitted. Photo shows the chassis faulty welding, drive flange hitting chassis. Q1 The drive flange's were already fitted to the diff so I assume they do not need tapping in place? Q2 Off the wall question, I still refer to build as a 'It' not a 'She' when will It become a She?
