So for a while now I've been wondering how I can travel to some of the more distant tracks, maybe even competing but as I live in the North east it is definitely going to involve some sort of transport for my westfield. One idea I had, which I am struggling to get out of my head is to buy a beavertail and fit a storage box on to it. Something like this.... ebay clicky With a budget of around £5000 I could have myself a dedicated vehicle. At the moment I have an BMW M5 daily drive which isn't really suitable for towing, so my only other options are either sell the M5 for something that can tow, or buy a cheap van & trailer and do a trailer test. With the beavertail, I would hope to see quite high value retention so in theory I could sell it back on in a year or two for not a lot less. Insurance is around £400 a year, then factoring in mot's, road tax and items to self service am I mad? In theory I could lease it out to regain some expenditure, or use it myself for a few local car transports? What you reckon, mad idea? Dean
