  3. John Dolan - Chairman

    Sierra rear calipers

Since replacing the brake pads and fluid both rear discs are shiny on the outside but the insides are rusty. I used a proper tool to rewind the pistons. The pads are free and the calipers slide ok, the pedal is very good and the car stops well. Backed off the handbrake in case it was stopping the auto adjust mechanism but no improvement. The rears are working as I can stall the engine when it's on the stands. I've covered about 1,000 miles since replacing the pads. John.
  4. Rusty Nuts

    Wilwood Dynalites

Bought these on here below is the original advert, went for a different set up in the end. "Pair of Wilwood Dynalite 4 pot calipers with 1/3 worn Greenstuff pads. Complete with brackets to fit Cortina uprights they are a direct replacement fit for M16 calipers. They have 1.38" pistons which in my experience means that a standard master cylinder will be fine. They are currently spaced for solid discs but also included is most of what you need to space them out for vents. Unfortunately I have misplaced one bridging tube and a bolt but these are readily available from Rally Design." £150
