Kent Westfield posted a topic in Parts for Sale
Hi Chaps. I am in the process of replacing my Ford Silvertop engine with a new Blacktop unit on my Westy. I have for sale the alternator + bracket from my Silvertop. Item Description: - Alternator removed from a Ford 1.8L Zetec Silvertop Engine. - I cannot fully verify the age and mileage of the source vehicle that alternator was taken (as this was already on the car when I purchased it) - But it is in full working order. - Ford Number: 92AB-10300-FB. Sorry I do not have the FINIS code. - Bracket included (both the main bracket + tensioning arm) - The geared nut is not available (only a few pounds to buy) + isolator bushes on the bracket are worn and ideally should be replaced. Price: £25 + delivery cost Pick up welcome and I am happy to deliver to Gillingham / Rainham, KENT If you need more info, feel free to call me on 07881 655 878.- 3 replies

Hi all, Had some rolling road work done today and the car popped a hose due to the high revs, this hasn't caused any problem except that something now squeals intermittently. My thought is water pump and the only thing to do is change it, however I thought it may be the alternator as it probably got wet during the hose incident. Questions are, how do I find the source of the squeal as it only does it when driving i.e. I can't make it do it on command and if it is the water pump how do I identify which one I have? The car was factory built in 2004 but I'm told was re-built in 2012 with a TVR 4.0 litre cross bolted block. Thanks all, in the meantime I'm going to WD40 the alternator to see if that does anything. Cheers Dave
