  1. For sale my shadow blue Touareg which I have owned since 2011 and has been an excellent car. The previous owner only had the car for a few months because his wife could not drive it. The first owner who had it from new then transferred it from his business to himself privately hence the three previous owners. This first owner had the car service at VW with no expense spared. I am a VW accredited master technician with 30 years experience and I have maintained the car since with equal attention to detail. I have also still have the full services carried out by a local RAC approved garage to maintain the auditable service schedule, everything has been done on time using genuine VW parts and fluids. The car starts drive and stops exactly as it did form new, everything works as it should as you might expect from such a well kept car. Over and above the very high spec of this altitude model I have made a number of approved upgrades which the new owner will appreciate. Being in the trade I was able to find out who VW use if they wish to have a remap carried out and so I chose Oscarli who are at the very top of the tree when it comes to performance enhancements, I can’t say what the work cost me as I got it done at trade prices but safe to say it was not cheep however the additional performance without any loss of fuel consumption is very good. This Touareg will (if you have a mind to) out drag a Range Rover TDV8 with absolutely NO black smoke so good is the software. One of the front road springs has a fault that was noted on a previous MOT so I had all four replaces with Eibach units, I can’t say I could feel any difference in the ride but it has defiantly improved the cornering attitude with less body roll on turn in, it isn’t a hot hatch but for a big car it handles surprisingly well as you might expect from its Porsche derived chassis and Brembo brakes. When I got the car home I was delighted to find it has a £700 tow pack in the boot that was still in its packaging, it stows in the boot and you would never know it was there, this car will tow 3 ½ tonnes with absolute ease. This model was fitted with a Thermotop C additional heater and so I have installed a telestart unit. This means that on a cold morning you can press a button on the key ring which will preheat the car from up to a kilometre away! The system is fully integrated into the climate control and is fully automatic and intelligent; it will sense if your battery is low or the fuel level is below ¼ and switch off. You can operate it from bed or a restaurant and when you get back to the car the heater will be blowing hot air into the cabin having firstly defrosted your windscreen. It is so cool (warm) to go back to the car on a frosty night and get in. I use this even in the summer to preheat the engine as within a minute the engine temperature is up to 80 deg which improves MPG on short journeys which is what this car now only does. The system can also remotely control the fans in the summer to cool the cabin down and the heating or cooling times can be altered to suit. When this car was new it integrated with Iphone 1 & 2 but not the later versions, that may be something you want to think about when looking at other cars for sale. I have replaced the factory phone module with a Fiscon factory style bluetooth handsfree upgrade which utilise a "hideaway" module that integrates into existing factory navigation, radio and multifunction display in the instrument cluster. This unit will pair with all new I phones (and I think just about any other phone) and is upgradable remotely by bluetooth. This system has the additional benefit of being able to wirelessly stream music from you phone . I also fitted an external mic for perfect hands free. This system can also display additional information on the centre colour screen on the instrument cluster, and can be set up as required, it gives very accurate temperature of oil, water turbo pressure etc. I have fitted a hatchbag boot liner and a a genuine VW dog guard which are quick removal if you need to put the seats down. The driver’s side mat has just been replaced with a genuine VW one as there were signs of wear on it. The car comes with a full owner’s pack and both factory keys. I have been offered £10K as a trade in for my new car but obviously if I could get more by selling privately then I will. You are more than welcome to come and drive the car, I am just south of York. 07887714470 phil.cartwright1@btinternet.com for pics.
