Cotswold Area July Meeting & Treasure Hunt

Folks, This months Cotswold Area monthly meeting Thursday 30th July will incorporate a Treasure Hunt, billed as "Mr Varey's own Treasure Hunt". Start time 7.30pm from the Golden Heart Inn, Nettleton Bottom, Birdlip, Gloucestershire, GL4 8LA. Treasure hunt duration about one hour, modest entry fee, three treasure clues to find then finish at the pub for prize giving followed by usual club business meeting. OXON DAY TOUR DATE SUNDAY 28th JUNE 2015 START TIME 9.00 a.m. ORGANISERS Gary Lucas N.Oxon + Andrew Reeves Cotswolds Area AO’s WHERE TO PAPAS Traditional Fish’n Chips in Weston super Mare WEBSITE www.papasukltd.com THE GENERAL IDEA --- Is to have a grand day out with two or more WSCC Areas driving good cross-country, Westie friendly routes, meeting partway then driving on together to enjoy Award Winning Fish ‘n Chips at PAPAS in Weston super Mare at midday. NOTES 1. START POINTS – N.OXON from Rock of Gibraltar pub, Kidlington, Oxfordshire OX5 3AY COTSWOLD from the Golden Heart Inn, Birdlip, Gloucester GL4 8LA 2. The en-route Meeting/Re-fuelling point will be at Royal Wootton Bassett just south of the M4 west of Swindon 3. You can go independently and arrive as and when it suits you best – don’t feel it’s rigid 4. Please join in by looking at the Cotswold facebook page and/or the main WSCC Forum and put your names down to receive full instructions and route information or simply contact Gary or myself by email or phone. Do make sure you tell us your mobile phone numbers 5. For easy driving we will drive in smallish groups each with a “leader” and a “rear end sweeper” to pick up the waifs and strays. Instruction Maps will be available 6. This event is weather sensitive and if, on the previous evening, the organisers judge the weather to be too bad the postponement will be posted on facebook pages and texts to mobiles will be sent to all known participants 7. Cotswold Westfield Trip to SA Motorsport at Hinkley Sat 13 June

This is to advertise a Cotswold Club organised trip by DONNA and MALC. Steve Adkins of SA Motorsport runs a small workshop that specialises in metal fabrication of all kinds of product for the world of competition cars including kitcars. Currently he is working on a hillclimb/ sprint E46 3-series saloon and will show us what and how he tackles this specialist work.Over the years he has created four different things that you can see fitted on Donna and Malc’s car -- custom Roll Cage, the front splitter, front canards and the rear diffuser. For the world of Kitcars SA have fabricated all these things and much custom work like passenger covers so expect to see some samples of this work – who knows, you may come away with a new rear diffuser fitted! OUR MAIN AIM IS TO HAVE A NICE RUN OUT --- DONNA and MALC have fixed a really good cross-country tour. It’s a 70 mile trip along the Fosse way and you’ll really enjoy the scenery.
