    Westfield Seiw

CAR IS NOW SOLD Here is our wonderful Westfield seiw. It has been in the family since it was built by my father and I. It was first registered in 1994; and finished it the following year. We somehow managed to convince the Chester DVLA that it was made almost entirely from a Ford Sierra and was allowed to retain the donors registration plate. The original intention was to use the car for touring, so the interior was trimmed in red Connolly hide with green piping, the carpets are Rolls Royce green Wilton with red piping, whilst the dash is finished in Red Connolly hide. The car, a Wide body variant, was originally fitted with a Ford X-Flow bored out to 1700cc and fitted with 1300cc pistons, a Kent 234 cam, duplex timing chain, oversize valves and weber 40’s etc, that revved like crazy, this was matched to a Ford Type 9 five speed box. The removal of leaded fuel from sale meant that a change was needed and the current C20XE engine sourced and installed. The X-flow was sold on to a member of the WSCC from Chester. Whilst fitting the XE engine an SBD lightened flywheel was installed, the sump removed and the crank checked, all was in tolerance, but new shells and ARP big end bolts installed, these allow the engine to rev to 8500, but we always limit the engine to 6500, it originally ran on 45 Dellortos, these were eventually replaced with Jenvey 45 Throttle Bodies and the ignition system upgraded to a DTA E48 for both fuel and ignition. When my parents moved abroad, the car was passed to me and I have continued with the process of improvement, the seats have been replaced with more supportive racing seats, a Sparco demountable steering wheel and a Quickshift round off the interior changes. These were mainly to lower my seating position and enable me to look through the screen rather than over it. I also fitted an RAC roll bar and replaced the rear boot trim. I was never happy with the DTA ECU, so a Megasquirt 2 v3.0 was sourced from the USA, built and installed. This has revolutionised the driveablilty of the car, you can poodle around in traffic all day long, but press the loud pedal and the beast awakes!! Another unique feature of the car is the storage space, it comes with a lockable demountable boot box, trimmed in green Connolly hide (naturally) that more than doubles the storage space if touring. Easily removed/fitted with a single bolt fixing. Some of the many key points of the car are below, but it really needs to be seen to appreciate how wonderful it is. Rolls Royce carpets trimmed in Connolly hide Dash trimmed in Connolly hide Side panels as above Gearstick gaiter as hand stitched in Connolly hide Handbrake gaiter as above Detachable Sparko Steering Wheel Age related plate (non Q) from original donor car ARP big end bolts (Rev upto 8500) New big end shells fitted when bolts changed SBD lightweight flywheel Westfield side exit exhaust Megasquirt 2 V3.0 ECU LS9U Wide Band Lambda for ECU Autotune High efficiency aluminium radiator Jenvey 45mm DCOE throttle bodies & Trumpets Unique Alloy wheels, cast and machined by Speedline for my father Toyo Proxes T1R tyres - 195/50 R15, 7mm tread on the fronts and 6mm on the rears Westfield Quick Rack RAC Rollbar Quick Shift Custom embroidered roof bag Boot Cover De-mountable boot box trimmed in green Connolly hide (replaces spare wheel) Rear wheel arch protectors Storage Nets USB Connection in car for live tuning of ECU Willan’s 4 point harnesses Seats leather trimmed to match Connolly hide green & yellow stuff brake pads front and rear Removeable Sparco steering wheel We really haven't spared anything on the car; and it has been a labour of love as its progressed over the years with all work carried out to the highest of standards. The cars build began whilst my father was an engineer at Rolls Royce, hence the amount of work that was carried out by trimmers who worked there. It is with a heavy heart that we are selling it, but for family reasons I need to sell. It comes with 3 months MOT remaining; but it always sails through without any issues. I can if requested put it through to it’s MOT early and sell it with a full 12 months. You really will be buying a lovely car and you will not be disappointed. We have almost all of the paperwork records of MOTs etc. from the cars history. If you would like to hear it - although this was on the old DTA FAST ECU - not the Megasquirt which is a huge improvement, here is a video of an evening track event at Cadwell Park - I know it can go much quicker but never had the heart or ability to do so! https://youtu.be/XvRRuq1CttM Please email to arrange a viewing and test drive - reasonable offers considered on this rare gem.

    Westfield SEiW 1.6L Duratec

Due to an unexpected and genuine reason for sale is my stunning SEiW. With road test mileage only and 99% completed it's a very quick Spring project for the lucky buyer and comes complete with the final few minor parts to be fitted before it goes for its IVA. Using a new Sierra based kit it was built by a Ford mechanic using almost all factory supplied parts and then road tested and completed to its current level by a specialist vehicle builder. A wide bodied model it’s fitted with a 1.6i Duratec engine, factory 5-speed box and disc brakes all-round. I have a file of vehicle and component receipts, the only one I can’t find is for the calliper fixing plates, I can’t remember where they were sourced from so can’t guarantee they were brand new. Wheels are Team Dynamics alloys with 15” tyres. Also included in the sale is a rear wheel carrier with a matching alloy wheel if you wish to fit it, again all new as supplied by Westfield. With ETB instruments, it’s finished in Navy blue with contrasting lighter blue trim, black dashboard, Westfield Sport seats, 4-point harnesses, a full set of factory black carpets, heated windscreen, chrome headlights and roll bar and carbon rear light fittings. Built by a professional mechanic and checked and road tested by an auto specialist there’s no reason this should take more than a couple of days to finish. Viewings welcome. Selling for £8995 or very close offer. Please email me on sandshome54@gmail.com or let me have a phone number if you'd prefer a chat.

    Covered Trailer - SOLD

Covered car trailer for sale. Made by Border trailers in around 2004. Owned by me since 2005. Many miles with Lea-Francis, Austin 7, Radical, Marlin, Westfield. Good condition, new tyres and brakes in May 2016. Electric winch, 12v battery, interior LED lights, rear spot, aluminium ramps, wheel and hitch lock. Gross weight 2000kg, net weight 700kg. 4m internal length, 1.75m internal width. £1850 ono. Richard Houlgate
  6. I have for sale one Brian James Clubman 1500 trailer. For those not familiar with the Clubman range, this is a twin axle trailer, with brakes on all 4 wheels, spare wheel, open, with ramps. The bed is 4 mtr. x 1.70 mtr. Note, this is ideal for a Westfield, Caterham etc., or a classic car. However it is the narrower bed, so most tin tops will not fit on it unless they are small. Heavy duty jockey wheel fitted. Also manual winch. I want this gone, so priced to sell at £1,100 or very near offer.

  8. For sale on behalf of my mate Justin, who whilst been a club member, isn't too keen on typing out an advert of this size! So he's left it to me..... I know this car well and whilst it's not perfect, (having been used a bit) it's in very good all round condition, with some very nice touches. Westfield SEI wide, part built with the assistance of my father-in-law who just happens to be Mick Cooper of Mickmade fame! One of only two Westfields built in the fabled Mansfield garage which was intended for road use, the other one being “Jans Car” AKA Kermit. The car has MOT until may 2019 And is ready for the summer ahead. The car has only been used on one track day and is set up predominantly for road use. Body/Chassis: Genuine Westfield SEiW chassis in black powdercoat, with bright yellow bodywork including detachable rear arches and cycle wings. (I think there are spare rear wings too somewhere) Older style RAC roll bar which offers protection to the occupant rather than being simply aesthetic Very special pre preg Carbon headlight......just to prove Provence! Engine/Transmission: Vauxhalls proven 2.0L XE engine, with this particular one having the highly sought after “coscast” head. The engine being rebuilt with new water pump, cambelt, Vernier pulleys cams, oil pump, steel rods forged pistons etc in 2016. The head has been lightly ported and retains standard valve sizes and is fitted with QED camshafts, HD rod bolts, and SBD shallow sump. Running a modified distributor, 45 DCOE Weber Carbs purchased new and set up by Northampton Motorsport, and fitted with a new foam air filter, SBD Carbon exhaust system (repackable and very sexy!) the engine shows just under 200bhp on NHM rollers Type 9 gearbox. Interior: Intatrim seats, rails for which come with the car, though not currently fitted. Floor mounted adjustable bias pedal box. VDO Gauges – Speed, Revs, Fuel, Engine Temp, Oil Pressure. Standard switchgear for lights, wipers, washers, heater, horn, indicatindicator All in a carbon dashboard.......cos we can! 4-point harnesses. Full windscreen Sidescreens Soft Bits Surrey top (part roof). Suspension/Wheels: AVO adjustable suspension. Wide track front wishbones M16 front brake callipers Sierra rear calipers Force racing Wheels with polished rims and blue anodised centres, with A048 tyres (wheels are 8” front and rear). It’s a quite reluctant sale and is only happening as I have a classic car and teardrop caravan taking up storage space in my garage, with the Westfield at my son’s house and under threat from him using it! £9500ovno. Tel Justin on 07984 584694 Please no PM's as Justin won't get them!
  9. Got a mick made front splitter that I bought from him new up for sale. Front Carbon Splitter

Fits the nose cone of a 1995 SE narrow bodied car. Has been previously fitted with holes at the front and sides, the odd stone chip but no cracks. £80 plus postage at cost or collection by arrangement.
  11. I have for sale a pair of Westfield sports seats, black with red piping. These are both in great condition and are nice and comfortable to sit in too. I have removed these from my wide bodied Westfield. Both come with adjustable mounting rails fitted so are ready to be bolted in. These seats are the best part of £300 each new from the Westfield factory, so this is a great chance for someone to buy these seats at less than a 1/3 of original cost. Im looking for around £190 for the pair. Buyer is to collect the seats from Smalley, Derby. I dont wish to send them via courier as they are large items and wouldn’t want them to get damaged in transit. I could deliver them locally for petrol money. Thanks for looking, Cheers, Pete
