  3. A great day out, and thanks to Gary for organising. Good to meet up again with those from the 'wigwam' weekend a few weeks ago and also nice to meet some new (for me) faces. I made it home around 11:15 pm after some 13 hours in the saddle (minus stops) but it didn't end there, just time to make a cup of tea and watch the F1 to round off an excellent day. After I left Gary/Trina I basically completed the previous weekends run that I missed, going past Laggan, Spean Bridge, Fort Augustus, up east side of Loch Ness to Inverness then a sprint home to Sauchen. Really good roads with lots of new blacktop and stunning scenery in glorious sunshine. As we're all used to, our cars get so much appreciative positive attention where ever we stop. On Sunday particularly I lost count how many 'tourists' were taking pictures with several asking to sit in it.

  5. What a cracking game of cricket! Who would have thought we would have a Super Over to decide the world cup. Great cricket from two world class teams. 🏏

  8. What an absolutely amazing spectacle! I was running around like a giddy child when it finished. I'm going to the Old Trafford Ashes match so looking forward to taking some momentum into that. Combined with possibly the best Grand Prix of many years, and an epic Wimbledon mens final, it was quite a day of sport!

  9. Thats a great explanation Brad - well done. I am used to using pace notes on rallies (years ago) but only used tulips to get to stage starts. Since my electronic VDO speedo gave up displaying the odo years ago, there is an iphone app called trackpal https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/trackpal-tripmeter-odometer/id1006456044 which is purely a very basic, simple, easily resettable twin trip meter, which uses GPS. It is not a mapping app - so stays in the spirit of the event! Specially useful if you are solo, and the phone is in reach to reset the trip at junctions. Probably not a 100% reliable app, but better than nothing! Cheers, Dave.

  11. I've just ordered one via the GoPro website. Painless so far ... ordered the H7B and you get a shipping label for your old one (mine was a kaput H3B), bagged it and dropped it off at a local UPS Drop-Off shop last night (should ship out today). Instructions state I should receive an email within 14 days from receipt of my old one to let me know when my H7B will be shipped. Due to high demand, there does seem to be a delay in some parts of the world, with some people stressing after only four weeks I'm happy to wait as my H3B was just lying busted in a drawer. I'll keep y'all posted!

  14. If your insurer says they only recover losses in cases of negligence, and not accidents, how do they deal with motor claims? Sounds utter BS so I would speak to a manager at the insurer or better still email and keep a record of what they are stating. I would ask the neighbour the name of company that fitted the shower and do they have liability insurance (they should) and your insurer will reclaim losses from them possibly including your excess if you have legal cover; otherwise you might have to claim the excess thru small claims court at about £25 premium. Going thru your insurer will get the repairs done quickly and professionally. Good luck.

  15. Best game of cricket I've ever seen. Well done England. From watching the shambles 4 years ago to winning today. What a turnaround. Even my mrs (who hates cricket) has just been shouting at the telly for the past hour. Well done fellas 🍾 And well done to the kiwis too.

  16. Does [insert eu country here] want xx tariffs on [insert product here] coming in to the UK? Does the EU really think that their mandarins can dictate to French/Italian farmers, German industrialists, Spanish fruit growers, Dutch flower growers etc etc that they are no longer allowed to compete for UK business and instead must find new markets for their products and produce? All the while, with us free of having to satisfy 28 other countries we'll buy our fruit from Florida and our wine from Chile and our beef from Argentina and we'll get our spuds and carrots and swedes from UK farmers instead of paying them to grow nothing om some of their land. Or the French/Italians/Germans/Dutch etc can come to us and offer a trade deal to keep the status quo. Hmmmmm...

  17. A very early start from The South Coast up the M5 & M6 to Heysham for the 2:15pm ferry. Arrived, unpacked then headed to the Mountain Road and The Crag for dinner. Weather looking good for the next couple of days.
