Not sure if it’s been realised, but by editing the first post, re the event cancellation, rather than adding a new one, this thread doesn’t show up as changed for those that browse the forum using the recent changes function, and is really easily missed.3 points

This is the typical fodder for the workshop .. TVR Cerbera with faulty MBE 941 ecu - now changed to Emerald K6plus . I never get tired of working on Cerberas ... The track day westy is next on the ramp for a bit of a fettle prior to sending it off for some intake fabrication work on the turbo install.3 points

There were a couple of factors, one being the fuel had 'gone off'. Even though I use 5% ethanol fuel, its life is no more than two months, so it had degraded over the winter months. Also the plugs I was using weren't ideally matched to the Megajolt ignition (it needs a resistive type). The engine sounds more punchy (and louder) at higher revs and it starts well, but I suspect there is still a vacuum leak that has destabilised and raised the idle speed, resulting in some dieseling of the engine once I switch off the ignition. General driving is great, but I still need to address the vac leak. I suspect its air finding its way along the threads of the vacuum ports I screwed into the inlet manifold. The garage also fixed a rear axle oil leak that was causing me grief. There was a little damage to the sealing surface with the lip seal that they've repaired. They also had a good look over the car, tightened a few worm clips, replaced a section of fuel house and tightened the fan belt.3 points

UPDATE: 28-4-26 The Event Organiser has Advised today that the Replica & Self Build Festival has been cancelled due to lack of ticket sales: Dear Ticket Holder I’m writing to you personally to let you know that the Replica & Self Build Festival has been cancelled. This has been an extremely difficult decision to make. We had assembled what I truly believe would have been the largest gathering of kit and replica manufacturers seen for many years, alongside a full weekend of festival entertainment at a fantastic venue. A huge amount of passion, time, and effort went into planning the event. However, despite significant advertising investment and extensive promotion, ticket sales did not reach the level required to deliver the experience and atmosphere you rightly deserve. Rather than proceed with an event that could not meet expectations, I felt it was the responsible decision to cancel. I am genuinely sorry for the disappointment and inconvenience this will cause. Please be assured that all ticket holders will receive a full refund. Refunds will start being processed tomorrow and will be completed no later than Friday 8 May, with payments returned automatically to the original method used. No action is required from you. Thank you sincerely for your support and belief in the event. I regret that we weren’t able to bring this one across the finish line, and I truly appreciate everyone who backed the vision.2 points

I always look forward to trips out in my Westy with friends but it doesn't always go to plan! Two hours from home at the start point for a Peak District day out and a flat rear tyre thanks to a screw. @Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO rummages in his boot to produce an air compressor and re-inflates the trye at regular intervals which enabled me to continue with the day out. Obviously he couldn't follow me on the long trip home, so a call in to @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative and Glens and I'm lent a compressor, foot pump etc and after a few stops I got home safely. Next trip out I was presented with my own compressor, donated by @Andy Wallwork, fetched by @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman)and all organised by @Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO. What a brilliant club we have where people put themselves out to help. Many thanks to all my Westy friends2 points

We are currently awaiting a copy of Complete Car Builder Magazine, featuring the article on Westfield and the 40th anniversary year of our club. As soon as the magazine is available on their website, we will share the link to the members. Those who wish to do so will then be able to purchase their own copy directly. Looking forward to reading about your XI @Morris1 point

don't throw it away - it could at least be modelled and 3D printed if you can't get a metal replacement1 point

Oh, now that's interesting as I haven't yet seen any reference to the next magazine issue . Lucky I managed to get the XI started when Piers came down to visit, the sun was shining and we found some nice scenery for some photos. Can't wait to see the article .1 point

A grand day indeed with some cracking weather, the usual great company and @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative worked her usual good magic to find mainly quiet roads! @Tony H and his son Cameron, in Tony's lovely red Mev. @Louie Luay, winked at me all the way to breakfast I'm glad I didn't leave home with a clean car and we got plenty of fresh 'produce' from this lot! @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative trying her best to fit everyone in! It's great being at the back as you get to see all colours of member's cars as far as the eye can see! We also get a point for diversity and inclusion as we let the Transpeak coach join in too! A great day for Alfresco dining. We line all our cars up for a nice pic and some 'influencer' wants a pic for her Insta! @Tony H wishing he's ordered Scampi! Our route, round the peaks. We even got filmed by one of my NWKCOG Friends Nigel Barnes, on our way into the Peaks, as he was about to walk the dragons back for Charity-1 point

An eventful day starting early with a kamikaze pigeon trying to remove a cycle wing. You may have to zoom in to see the white dusty outline of the impact. Parked next to the rubbish pile just out of shot on the left of the cars. Steve and David chatting over David's car. Steve's car after some after some other visitors had photo's taken in and around it. As we got ready to leave we spotted Fuzz Townsend around the cars and buses! The easy run to Revs became a nightmare as we tried to skirt around Stratford only to find road closures for a half-marathon. This forced the increased vehicle numbers through the town centre. We got separated from Steve in the very heavy traffic and ended going different directions to the destination. Tony and Angela were waiting for us at Revs together with masses of motorcycles. NB the photos were done after the bikes had gone. The journey home was fine to begin with as we set off along the Fosse and onto the A429. The first leave the convoy were Tony and Angela peeling off for home. Shortly afterwards Steve also headed for home, leaving us to continue past the Falcon at Hatton on our way home. Unfortunately, as we passed Coleshill the alternator gave up again. It seems like I'm averaging 200 mile per alternator!!!1 point

Had to move my work bench from the shed into the garage as the shed is in the process of falling down. The garage has no power and it's a bit dingy. I was going to buy some Ryobi work lights but they seem expensive and weren't really what I wanted so I knocked my own up from a Ryobi battery adaptor, a buck converter and some led strip: David1 point
