  1. Might as well give the engine a decent clean whilst it's in bits! Should be back together for DriveIt day next Sunday......

  3. Final details for this trip on Saturday 18th April. PAYMENT The WSCC has agreed to part fund this visit for members and their immediate family, therefore the cost will be £10 per person, payable on the day. I have had confirmation that payments can be made by card or cash. TIMINGS We are required to be there at 1.15pm, for the 1.30pm visit start. It is expected to last for approximately 2.5 hours, with the group photo towards the end of the visit. LUNCH It is my intention to arrive sometime around 11.15 to 11.30am in order to grab an early lunch/late breakfast prior to the visit. You are free to arrive just in time for the visit or join us at the Touchdown Cafe. However, the cafe can be very busy, so there may be delays for food and the cafe parking may be difficult, as it is not very big and is usually full of cars and motorcycles. PARKING The location of the Vulcan is at South Warwickshire Flying School, Loxley Lane, Wellesbourne, Mountford Aerodrome, Warwick CV35 9EU. On arrival, turn right to park on the grass area as shown below. There is plenty of parking there and we are allowed to park there in the morning whilst we walk down to the cafe, also shown below. Hopefully I've covered all the things you need to know, but if you have any questions, please message me. Look forward to seeing you all there.

  7. Pair of external rear view mirrors with mountings. Were on the windscreen pillars of my SEi using existing centre screws. Not to be confused with Rover 100 mirrors, defo not the same thing! I’ve added convex blind spot mirrors to them and they provided good visibility on both sides, but as they are only stuck on with adhesive tape, they can be removed fairly easily if you prefer. They are quite secure and don’t shake about while driving. £25.00 for the pair in a box with bubble wrap and rather poor penmanship address labelling. POSTAGE NOT INCLUDED. I will advise and provide options and costs, and you can choose which one to use. Alternatively, you can arrange your own collection by courier; collect it from me in deepest, darkest Warwickshire; meet me at a Warwickshire area meet or Stoneleigh or Malvern (weather permitting); or you can send your tame carrier gannet to fly them to you (other options are available but unlikely). PM me if interested. CAUTION: Kindly do not try to pull my plonker with a cheeky bid like, “I’ll take them if you throw in free P & P”, or a lower bid. I’m a grumpy old man with forum admin powers and a well-earned reputation for boardroom mischief and shenanigans, as many in here will attest to their cost when they attempted to wind me up in the past. What’s more, I like doing it. The price is fixed. If no one buys them, I may well fit them to one of my dogs. Not that it will help them, but it will amuse me for a short period. Thanks for reading this far. I can’t imagine you have any questions pertaining to the mirrors, but you might. I’m going back to my red wine now.

  8. Sadly, I'll be there in the daily as the XI is needing slightly more serious surgery than anticipated. I'll have to skip the photoshoot aspect, which I was really looking forward to. Otherwise, I can't wait to have a poke around a proper cold war bomber.

  18. Providing we get reasonably good weather we shall meet at Cupola, Stony Middleton, Hope Valley, S32 4TF at 10am for breakfast. This will be followed by a lovely drive through the Peak District and finishing with lunch. At this early stage please just bear this event in mind and we'll see what the weather Gods allow, stay posted.

  20. Hi Rhett. I am a new member to WSCC and a new Westfield owner. As I live in Rubery I assume that this would be my local club meet. I plan to have a drive out to the meet so looking forward to meeting you on 12th. Thanks Steve
