  1. MOT today and the car passed, after an arduous engine swap and subsequent emissions issues. Blew it up 21/6/24, fresh MOT today 13/4/26. I am immensely relieved. Victory lap:

  2. Changed the bonnet latches to nice shiny new black ones. Satisfying result for an all yellow / black car. Just have to work out now how to get the rivet bodies out from inside the tub / trim gap as will probably rattle about.

  8. I think nearly every Westfield on the road has a few rivet heads either in chassis tubing or between fiberglass and alloy and both in my case they don't really rattle around .

  9. Yep, if in doubt, old school garages doing old school cars are usually the best starting point, if you have no other info available.

  12. Plus 1 for finding a small garage. Even is it’s out of your way. I found calling round some of the local “classic car repair type” businesses in the area will have a good understanding of who to go to if they don’t offer it them selves.
