Back again...update... Well just before Christmas I bit the bullet and bought my first Westfield. Currently wintered in a dehumidified container and looking forward to some dryer weather. It might be a previous member's car (I'm in touch with him on FB) Pretty much the spec I was looking for too. Thinking of some preventative Lanoguard to keep the chassis ship shape...any thoughts on that? Many thanks7 points

Well, as I may have mentioned before, email is not my area of expertise. However... The connection via ggr is expected, because the server is on their network and Postfix is the software on the server that routes/redirects our emails. But, it certainly looks like someone is “spoofing" one of our publicly visible email addresses and is using it to try and get access to a user account with a very typical “phishing" type of email. Hence why this ended up in your spam. Good to know your spam filter is working - so just ignore them as these type of emails are used as a scattergun approach to hacking accounts. It goes without saying that you NEVER EVER click on ANY link in an email unless you are absolutely 100% sure that it is genuine.5 points

Had a great day yesterday at the Morgan factory. There’s a large cafe adjacent to the showroom, a shop (not the cheapest, but with some interesting content) and a ‘heritage centre’ all of which can be accessed for free. Charges for factory tour and any Morgan drives, all on their website. All staff were very friendly and helpful. No restrictions on photos. A most enjoyable day. Andy5 points

To wet your appetite and have something to look forward to in these gloomy winter days!! Join us and enjoy 130 miles driving around the spectacular Lake District National Park and 135 miles through the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park. There are no timed meeting points during the days, so if you want to stop off for a walk or visit somewhere enroute - the choice is yours to enjoy the areas as you want to. You are at liberty to choose which day to explore the Lakes and which day you explore the Dales. We will split into small groups to make keeping together easier and exploration less stressful - More time to enjoy the views rather than worrying about where the car behind has gone! Last years tour was fully subscribed quickly so early booking is advised once again for this years event. Driving days are Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th June 2026. we'll head off from the hotel at 9am each day. If you're travelling from a far I would recommend that you book accommodation for Sunday, Monday & Tuesday to make the most of the wonderful roads and scenery. Route books will be supplied and Sat Nav routes for single drivers will be available. Base will be Travelodge Kendal Town Centre as it has covered secure parking. Kendal LA9 7FW Phone: 0871 984 6571 There are two Travelodge Hotels in Kendal so please be careful when booking!! Adding breakfast to your booking isn't necessary as you can pay on the day. Many choose last year to have breakfast at Wetherspoons and there was plenty of choice for evening meals in town. We've planned for 20 cars again this year. Who's coming ?? 1. Martin Aldred - Show & Event Co-Ordinator 2. Stuart 3. Andrew B Clarke 4. MGG 5. Glen & Julie Hall 6. Tim & Judith Johnson 7. Robin Parker 8. Ian & Ali 9. Andy & Sue Westwood 10. Glyn Walters 11. The Plan! Start June 3rd Nearly 1300 miles. 18 days, 17 overnight stays in order to catch the elusive haggis. Me in my westie and my mate in his Locost seven will undertake the drive from the flat fens in East Anglia and head to the Eastern side of the nc500. We will then head west and back down through the pennines and back home. UPDATE 17 individual hotels or b&bs booked. Must be mad lol1 point

Received refurbished shocks for my track Westfield from https://www.thunderlane.eu . I bought the car in 2018, with a few years of history before that, and I think the shocks had never been overhauled. They got new bearings, thinner valves for a lightweight car, new bump stops, etc. They were dyno tested (I don’t understand those diagrams at all , but I was assured they were matched in pairs). I’m really curious whether I’ll feel the difference. When they were “new” ( I mean after few seasons in Westfield Cup NL , and on some endurance challenges (got few broken wishbones with that car ) , even on the softest settings the car was quite darty. Hopefully this effort and the expense — will be noticeable Edit – oh, and I had my springs measured: front (RED) 60 N/mm, rear (BLACK) 40 N/mm. Not sure if this is right or wrong, but at least I now have a baseline if I learn which way to go softer or stiffer at the front or rear in the future.1 point
