  2. The Plan! Start June 3rd Nearly 1300 miles. 18 days, 17 overnight stays in order to catch the elusive haggis. Me in my westie and my mate in his Locost seven will undertake the drive from the flat fens in East Anglia and head to the Eastern side of the nc500. We will then head west and back down through the pennines and back home. UPDATE 17 individual hotels or b&bs booked. Must be mad lol

  3. Actually if it's not too late in the planning process, I'd suggest you include the Cairngorms in your route up if you can, you won't be disappointed. Probably some of the best roads we have up here, with some lovely long sections and a wee bit different to the West Coast. The drive up to Glenshee and then on to Braemar is amazing and you can get a move on too. If you could fit it in you'd end up at Grantown-on-Spey and then up to Nairn and across to Inverness, missing out the long slog of the A9. Oh man, bring on the Spring and the good weather..!

  4. Yeah you'll love it, will be busy in June with campers and foreign drivers, mainly Dutch as they just love Scotland. Hopefully your doing the full route and if so my advice is to ignore the official route and do it anticlockwise, leaving all the best bits to last. As said above the East Coast is a bit bland by comparison. I've done it 9 times now, but then it's on my doorstep. Sounds like my Euro trips with so many hotels booked, takes a good eye for Admin!

  6. For sale - 300mm OMP Trecento steering wheel, in Leather not plastic. NRG, Quick release Springalex, B/L - Land Rover Boss All items in excellent condition, no marks or damage and in original boxes. Only on car for a few months and dry stored thereafter. This is a one stop solution to getting a removable steering wheel. Bolt on so no need for welding or a replacement column etc. Also when the wheel is removed there's no sharp column pointing at you. Picture heavy, but best to know what you're getting. Looking for £200 delivered https://www.demon-tweeks.com/uk/omp-trecento-steering-wheel-246291/ https://ebay.us/m/QjQJCn https://amzn.eu/d/51MQxaV Thanks

  7. Unlikely the many messages I got about being on the front of the 2026 Calendar, I've only had one member advise they've seen this on Instagram. https://www.instagram.com/p/DTcl17iiEVA/ https://fb.watch/EMYg-bYUrl/

  11. You’ll love it. The east coast is a bit meh, but the north and west coasts are spectacular. With that timescale you’ve got time to get onto Skye as well. Enjoy!

  12. Just to highlight that this meet is on 28th Jan, not 22nd as is listed in the Events Calendar. I will work with Scott to delete the incorrect entries and get them updated, but it will be fourth Wednesday of the month at 19.30 moving forward. Thanks, and apologies for any confusion caused. Stu

  13. Lovely looking car, sure you will have a lot of fun with that. Take it easy on the way back if it’s very wet; lightweight rear wheel drive cars can be lively! I see it has Toyo Proxy TR-1 tyres on it, any idea how old? Possibly even worth checking the pressures in them as they should not be too high, 18 psi is a good place to start.

  14. Welcome to the club @karan733! Looks like a lovely car you've got yourself there. Remember, there's no such thing as bad weather - just bad clothing choices....! Take your time in the rain and you'll be fine. I find if I can keep above about 50mph then the rain goes over the top of me anyhow, and I don't get toooo wet. Honest officer! Keep us posted, and welcome
