  1. Hello everybody, just aquired a 2018 factory built AeroRace with Zetec Power. Intend to run it purely for Track Days for my son. Also run a Mx5 Zsport. Pembrey and Llandow are our local circuits, with hopefully excursions further afield as well. Looking forward to benefitting from the knowledge that abounds here and joining in where I can.

  6. I thought this too 🤣. I’d of been there, it’s only 20mins from my house. I’ve done loads of criterium racing at Mallory, although oddly enough we always raced the opposite way around the circuit.

  8. Anyone fancy a run out, or meet me there? It’s the final round of the CNC Heads championship and there are two Westfields competing, this a fantastic championship with lots of different classes of cars. The weather forecast looks good, so I will almost certainly be in my Westfield😎

  9. My last 'toy' was a V8 Land Rover with the usual incontinence issues (desert patrol replica)... so I'm well used to the familiar whiff of oil, petrol and exhaust fumes😂 I'm currently looking at ramp options... again, that wasn't such an issue for the Land Rover

  11. Welcome to the forum Bob. When I first got my Westfield back in 2019 I stored it in a container for 9 months before we built the garage at home. There was loads of space. Easy to get in and out, to store other things, and to work on the car. The container was in a complex of containers where quite a few people stored cars, there was quite a community on a Sunday afternoon! The owner had sealed the containers and installed dehumidifiers so it was dry. Ramps were needed to get the car in and out due to a Westfield being very low and the container being slightly of the ground. The only issue I had was the smell... Whilst I could push the car out, to get it in the container, as it was raised, I drove it in. Then shut the container doors and left it for a week or so until I went back. This trapped exhaust fumes in the sealed container, which soaked into everything including the seats, carpet etc. After moving the car to my home garage, it took quite a while for the smell to go. (Or reduce to a more acceptable level, all Westfields will smell a little more oily / fumey then a modern tintop)

  12. Give it time, I’ve got faith in your ability to eventually get booted! 👍 Personally, I’m aiming to be the first Life Member to get banned. It’s a matter of timing of course, needs to be when lots of members are here to appreciate it!
