  1. Had a wee run out to Glencoe and Oban today. Views are of Loch Earn, Glencoe and Glen Etive/skyfall road. The weather was stunning for a change. 270 miles covered and met a friend on the way.

  2. A very hot day at the Knebworth Classic Car show. Very few kit cars, but a great selection of some rare machinery (DeTomaso, Buick with a straight 8, Ford RS200, plenty of Jag E-Types and Mustangs etc. etc.) and of course a Westfield XI 😃.

  3. Huge thanks to everyone who joined us at the Silverstone Festival with WSCC – whether you managed a day or braved the whole weekend! Plenty of laughs, plenty of cars, and a few lessons learned along the way… namely: if you leave your phone at a club meeting, be prepared for “alternative perspectives” appearing on it later. Also, note to self (and everyone else): feet are not a recognised photographic subject with cars! Apparently! A slight change to the format next year means that the event will be rescheduled and renamed possibly back to the Silverstone classic but either way hope to see more of you next year! HB look out for the ITV4 film about Silverstone festival. September 21st 2025, I was advised.

  9. Lovely run over Clee Hills this morning with my lad. Good couple of hours, before the roads got busy. Stopped at this spot for a break, and a lovely chap who was there on a bike came over for a chat. Turned out he worked at Westfield on our cars in the 90s developing things like the V8 and a lot of other things that were still in my car now. He had some great stories. After we left, wished I'd got his name.

  10. With no @Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO present and therefore no steering wheel to steal and hide, I had to resort to hijacking your phone and exposing your newfound foot fetish (I will keep it a secret I promise, what happens at Silverstone stays at Silverstone....oh oops is anyone listening?) Really enjoyed the event, and great big thank you for the ticket and another great big thank you to the ladies on the TVR club stand that were friendly and welcoming, allowing us to sit in their shade with a brew, bob on girls

  18. I live in maldon I did see that which is awesome I didn’t think I’d find many local guys! Yes it’s on the road but I’m apprehensive to drive it as the guy I bought it from just clearly used it with no maintenance. So once I get all the information I need il get it sorted!

  20. @Stuart Davis AO - Devon Cornwall & Somerset No dates currently Stuart. With the changes around the relocation of Car Fest to Silverstone next year it is believed that the Silverstone Classic return (or similarly named event) will most likely be two weeks after the formula one weekend. All speculation at this time! The events team will keep us updated! @Mike Williams - Show and Events Co-ordinator HB.

  26. Thanks Rob. AW. Im assuming that's Andy Walsh, who used to run Carlimits. Both based at North Weald, although Google suggests Carlimits no longer operates. I remember that name from back in the day. Interesting to get your thoughts on track days too. Thanks!

  36. Ah thank you - I recognise that car 😃, that's an excellent photo. My son wanted to walk around the show, so I didn't get to hang around it as much as I would have liked to. When I did though there were always folk to chat with 🙂. The chap next to me with the TVR spent ages polishing it when he arrived, put my car to shame really 😃.

  37. The place to ask technical questions is in the Tech Talk section of the forums, so start a new thread there! There’s also a search facility in each forum or for the entire forum altogether! Here’s an example searching “4Age”.

  49. Hello, I’m in LA, California. I got lucky and found an early prelit Ali car. (Thank you Damion for the info) I think it’s an early 1983 car has an Jo cross flow 1275 MG with 4 spd no sync 1st gear. The car is stock outside of an MSD (I might remove now I know it’s early) and an electric fan which I’m leaving since it HOT here. It was in need of TLC when I got it so I’m just slowly getting the car sorted. The car kinda fell in lap so I’m open to any Information if I’m wrong Thanks chris
