  2. We’re at a campsite on Anglesey for the week. This guy arrived overnight, now I’m not au fait with these things, but I’m pretty sure that’s not a real flying carpet 🤣

  3. Ultimately, grip isn't only about the size of the contact patch, but tyre temperature is also involved, together with many other parameters. I've seen many schools of thought, on track most sevens fit large tyres as it is easier to warm them up, but on the road a smaller tyre has probably the edge, especially semislicks, as you can't usually warm them up properly.

  8. Hi All, New to the forum and new to Westfields. Just purchased a 1990 Westfield SE narrow body with a Ford 1600 Crossflow. Can anyone give some pointers or contacts for the below ? 1. We want to change the mirrors as they don't give much visibility and rattle about. Want to change to a larger horizontal wing mirror and maybe a Le Mans style front mudguard mirror would be good. Any suggestions / models ? 2. We've head about and seen either acrylic or leather side windows. Just looking to stop a bit of wind blowing round the windscreen pillar. Any suggestions ? 3. Sharing the car with the missus, we could do with an adjustable seat. At the moment just a couple of seat swobs which we're packing forward with foam. Looked at a few fibreglass and aluminium seats with low profile rails, but our tub is only 38 to 39cm wide. Any suggestions, seats to loot at ? Cheers. Mark.

  10. I'm about to replace my old front 185/60/13 R888 with 205/60/13 R888R. They still grip OK on a dry road - you're welcome to try those out if you want

  14. Just an update on Sunday, the other car club are meeting at 7 in Kent and then winding their way to Cowfold for about 9:15. Last time we had a couple of meeting points ( Silent Pool, Ockley, & Billingshurst) So far I have David, Gareth, Phil, Ian and Andy. So I think Ockley works for David ,Phil & Ian; Billingshurst for Gareth and we could pick Andy up at Buck Barn? I can then work backwards with timings. Last time the other group dried the damp benches for us 😉

  17. New Victor Reinz exhaust manifold gasket for when I find time to remove the manifold and turbo and finally fix the loose turbo nuts once and for all! Locking nuts, Nordlock washers and extreme high temp threadlocker on the way to me, hopefully they will stay tight with all that in place!

  23. PDM32 has arrived back from repair at AiM, ready to go back in the car. Although it was annoying that it needed repairing, I think the repair process with AiM was extremely straightforward.
