Took my car to Northampton Motorsport last week for some attention to the cold starts and a map check. Unless the car had been sitting in the garage on only the hottest of days, it would start fine but run a bit lumpy until — I can only guess — the coolant reached around 30°C or so. Easily resolved with a bit of gas or just starting to drive, but I wanted it checked over having previously replaced a duff CHT sensor. Troy spent a morning running it up and down on the dyno, changing some of the ECU (OMEX) base settings and tweaking all the low RPM fuelling maps. As far as I know, it was as out the box by Westfield beforehand. Apparently, it had been configured to look for 9000 RPM, and by reducing it to a more realistic 7500 RPM, it gained a load of “resolution” in the map — fuelling is now more discrete and precise across the RPM range. The idle control values were also set poorly in the ECU and needed doubling to their maximum. Anyway, it now starts and idles great, but I’ll need to wait for it to be truly “cold” to see how it behaves. The dyno work did manage to kill the exhaust bobbin — too hot in low or no airflow — but it’s easy enough to replace. The whole team there were really helpful and deserve the good reputation they get on the forum.8 points

Another interesting car, sat amongst very relevant cars, we have a Midge This Midge is on a Spitfire chassis and running gear, oh and here is a Spitfire parked a few cars away It is made to look like a MG, an example of which just happens to be a few cars away Just one last one, this Opel Kadett (left hand drive) have you seen one? I am guessing nope, the only other one in this country is off the road. They were checking to see if the timing was set up right (it was) so next he will check the carb. I love how it is a car meet/ come and fix your car here it is such a friendly and relaxed place to be. 2017 Pembleton Super Sport. Well done Ian. Here is some more information about it. What a fantastic place to come, you see some quite unique cars here that all have an interesting story. Some people like booze on a Friday night and some people don't. Read to the end as there is another interesting little car coming up! A flat peice of Aluminium rolled on an English wheel by the owners father resulted in this masterpiece rear end. It is the shiniest part of the car because he had to polish the wheel marks out Sparse interior May you sleep well now @aeg 😁2 points

Second trouble-free track day with my MNR Vortx Inboard CBR1000RR. I'm starting to feel more confident in the car. Lots of impressions and comparisons to my track-spec Westfield Aerorace. Ideally, I’d love to drive both cars on the same track, on the same day, and compare lap times directly. Unfortunately, that’s not feasible at the moment, so my conclusions are based purely on driving impressions. Here’s what I’ve noticed: The MNR feels very planted—stable, composed, and smooth over bumps and curbs. It's also easier to control when the rear steps out, especially compared to the Westfield. This time, I tested it on both semi-slicks (Yokohama A052) and full slicks. I also felt noticeably less fatigued after a session in the MNR. On a more somber note, I recently read that Marc Nordon, the creator of MNR cars, is now in hospice care. Really sad and unfortunate news : - ( .1 point
