  3. Not been on much since last post. Fixed the initial cut out problem with the wiring but seemed tonight doing it now and again in 3rd when going uphill under full power - will need to check the fuel float again. In other news, got the pro race 1.2s on wrapped in new rainsport 5s, much better. Picked up a C7 RS6 as a new daily last month also. Silly power, have to say though had the Westfield out tonight and just a complete different type of fun!

  5. 1600 CVH engine on twin 40 Webers, type 9 sierra 5 speed gearbox and diff. Discs all round with EBC brake pads on front. The car was built (and first registered) in 1998 by Westfield. Full hood and side screens, tonneau cover, lockable boot lid, ducted nose cone. Immobiliser. Also recently had USB socket fitted into cockpit for convenience. The car has done less than 11,500 miles in total. The last MOT was on 12/6/25. I am the third owner and bought the car in 2008 since when it has always been garaged. Serviced by Lotus Seven / Westfield garage specialists and very well maintained. Comes with large file of paperwork including original Westfield bill of sale. Can come with a collection of spares including a set of Team Dynamic 16” in gloss black (I believe they are PRO Race 1.2's) with Toyo R888s with plenty of tread - £500. Also available (for current cvh engine) higher flow head, higher profile cam and adjustable cam pulley. Original steering wheel as in photo - for negotiation / comes with car at right price. Can also come with a Blacktop Zetec engine upgrade project including some of the parts required - exhaust manifold, and (from Westfield) the alternator and engine mounts. Currently stripped down but uprated ARP conrod bolts added and ready for rebuild and installation - for negotiation. If interested also the engine stand, crane and hoist. Reason for Sale - started my own business and don't have spare time, so car just not getting used much - would prefer someone else enjoy it, rather than being locked in garage. 7. I really fancied a drive out yesterday, and eventually broached the idea of an early morning run with Mrs Stu, with a promise of being back by 9am when the rest of the house would just about be up and about. This received grudging approval, so the alarm went off at 6am, and by the time I had sorted myself and the dog, I headed off at around 6.35. Rough plan had been a 2.5 hour round trip in order to be home on time. I started up and headed off gently without warming the car so as to avoid disturbing the neighbours too much! First leg was down to West Bay, with the obligatory blat through Beaminster tunnel at full chat, then a fuel stop at the Esso in Bridport for some Supreme 99 and a cruise around the harbour. Without a stop, I headed along the coast road towards Abbotsbury, with its spectacular sea views, stopping at the lay-by overlooking Chesil Beach and Portland. Not sure why I look grumpy in the selfie, probably just too early and needing to concentrate to manage to take it properly 🤪! It was a bit damp out, with occasional light drizzle but the R888Rs still seemed to cope very well, plenty of grip though I was taking it fairly easy. From there it was along behind Chesil Beach and onto the Isle of Portland, winding my way uphill through town then down all the way to Portland Bill for a quick stop and leg stretch to take in the views and walk around the lighthouse and touch the obelisk (as it were 😉) Heading North now, it was fairly slow and fiddly up to Dorchester, but then I really enjoyed the stretch to Sherborne via the A352 which is a great drive, one of the best legs on the trip, fast open road with no traffic, perfect Westfield territory. Finally back through Yeovil which is a bit of a grind, but then some nice open sections home. I was back by about 9.15am, in time for breakfast and the rest of the house were just up and about. 87 miles in all, great way to start the day.

  9. A few different shots cos it does seem the picture angle makes a difference, but here is how mine look. Not an FW I know but visually the arch filling should be about the same on both I'd guess? Of course it's also personal taste to some extent but I love the way mine look. All credit goes to previous owners!
