Its all about the driving for me too. My "record" in one day in the Westy was the final day of a European road trip. A grand total of 1171 km. Innsbruck Austria to home in the UK4 points

Nice to meet a few of you today at Rothwell. Thanks to Robin for inviting me down. Loved the little convoy we had going, even if it was only for a mile or so. 😄. The tip that Barry gave me of disconnecting the MAF sensor, made so much difference to the accelleration it felt like a different car. AMAZING. I look forward to joining you all at Darrington in July. 😁👍2 points

As many of you are aware. Our East Anglian area is very flat indeed and the only thing that we look up too is not mountains but carrot tops. After just completing malvern kit car show, 3 of our cars are embarking on a trip to Robins good old Yorkshire for 5 days. We will be visiting many places as well as tasting the local cuisine from the 10th -15th june. Our aims to have some fun and do some spirited driving at times plus not get chucked out of Yorkshire. We will be based in Pateley Bridge and go from there on. We will be updating our progress as we go and hopefully the weather will be nice. Watch those ferrets Robin. The carrot crunchers are coming to town.1 point

@Martin Bell - (Bellyboy) East Anglia AO if you do the Buttertubs Pass (you should, it's possibly the best driving road in the area) please be careful on the top as there is a damaged cattle grid, it is signposted as damaged from one way but not the other, nice!. When you see the safety barrier like in this photo, you are close by Don't forget the Diamox!😁1 point

Great meeting today. Come across 4 members of the forum/group who are interested in meeting us for future meets. They didn't have the cars today but all found us at ramsey show. 😉1 point

I live pretty much slap bang in the middle of 4 groups each being at least 40 minutes from me and it would be great to be able to go along to a closer area meeting. I'm considering trying to re - start what was the Wiltshire and West Hampshire area but also include Berkshire. I have spoken to a few people I know are local members plus a few who I have found elsewhere but would like to get in touch with anyone else who might be interested on here. There are a few events I was planning on going to anyway but it would be nice to come up with a reasonably central location for everyone to get to for a meeting. I've started a Facebook page so non members can see what's happening and a guy I met at a local show has joined. He has a Dutton so there will hopefully be a bit of a mix of cars involved. I will have to want and see how things go.1 point

Yeah with those halo headlights they do look a bit like someone just started a prostate check on their rear ends 😂1 point

MKs sound like great cars, but that photo really does show how much nicer the Westfield styling from the front looks (better than Caterham, MK, GBS in my completely(ish) unbiased opinion)1 point

Tbh, I was half expecting this question. Apart from my mate, with the grey one 🤣, it was my first time meeting the 3 other MK owners, so thought better of bringing up the subject at this time. The 3 other owners were from different areas of England, so the Lake District was pretty much the mid point for us all, plus we both enjoy a long run anyway. It was quite interesting though that although the 2 other cars were completed last year, neither of them had been on runs longer than 100miles and I got the feeling that they were solo runs too. It goes without saying that they really enjoyed the run and I've since been added to their WhatsApp chat, which I think is there only real contact with other owners of like cars. I'm not sure how often, these meets will take place and tbh, I'm on the road a lot anyway, so it doesn't matter so much to me. Though it occur to me that they might be missing out on group runs with like cars in their respective areas and that might be where they may potentially be interested in WSCC. Sorry for the long winded reply, but you did ask 😆1 point
