  1. There were 3 Andy's, Dave, Ann and us meeting at Quacker's cafe for breakfast Quacker's car park We took off onto the sweeping bends of the Peak District with lovely views along the way, feeling cooler than expected. We arrived at Bike and Boot, Hathersage for the lunch stop. Bike and Boot car park Andy Westwood was wearing a nice hat that would match @aeg's car perfectly, so we thought we would taunt him with it😁 Inside Bike and Boot Glen and I had paella, what a treat from the usual cheese sandwich These two can't half eat Next we went for cake at the Pavillion, Baslow with a slight diversion when I lost all of you, waved as you all drove towards us 🤣but we got there in the end. It was a bit full because there was a 'colour run' event on, with children running on the sports field covered in coloured powder paint. We made good of a bad situation when Julie spied the home baked cakes, here they are! 'Well what happens to these, are they for sale?' I asked. The lady kindly replied 'yes, shortly, they will be £1 a slice to raise funds for the local school' Well it's rude not to join in, so the inevitable happened..... Best of it is we had already been eating cake from the cafe, Glen here laughing at all the Andy's as he was served the biggest slice by far It was a great day out, I hope we helped our new member's out with the cooling of the Sigma engine. Delighted that we were when we found out Andy and Ann were from Yorkshire, stolen right from under @Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO's nose 😀. Thanks for coming everyone, see ya all next time XX

  3. 6 Westfields and a MX5 today. Not as sunny as last week, but dry. After feeding our faces, we had a little drive over to the Motorist, taking a longer, more scenic route apart from going through Knottingley maybe. A possible new member came up from Sheffield, hopefully he'll join up soon.

  4. In Ullapool now. Heading down to Arrochar via Skye and ferry to Mallaig. Weather is unbelievable! Easy one today as it’s only 6 hrs in the saddle (day one was 11hrs)

  13. Thanks, @Captain Colonial. Our post seems generally OK so it's almost as though Jersey Post is deliberately targetting WSCC stuff! Must admit, I'm very intrigued as to the identity of your sister-in-law. Jersey is sufficiently small that our paths may well have crossed... As suggested, I've gone with the electronic membership this time around.

  14. Interpro have made me a new MOT cat after I failed last week, but due to my hols and their availability we can’t get it fitted until 9th June, meaning I’ll be in the Tintop for Malvern. Gutted - bdecided st Malvern last year to re-enter Westie ownership, with the aim of having the car ready for the show this year… Never mind, will be worth it when it’s five…

  17. I used to work with a guy who bought a 1970s Jag because he 'wanted something reliable' (yes, I know...) One day I overheard him phoning round the local garages saying over and over again: "Hello. Would you pass a Jag with broken windscreen washers?" "No?" "Do you know anybody that would?"

  19. That's a shame Mat, really annoying. What you need is a super friendly mot place that will sort it for you on the quiet before next weekend. Tall order!

  23. Love Binky. My brother is actually doing a similar project. Not quite to the same bracketry level as Binky, but still a hell of a challenge. He's putting everything from a 2018 mini into a classic shell. Me old man was doing write ups of the progress. But unfortunately the project has had to take a back seat at the moment as me brothers now busy extending and renovating his new family home. Hopefully it will see completion though some day when the house and garage are finished. We really should've started a family YouTube channel, been some serious challenges on both projects and he's done all of the work himself, with help from me and our old man.

  24. Anyone driving the coast road in Northumberland. There's a new automotive themed cafe opened in Amble. It's on the industrial estate, easy parking outside, so not a bad spot for a pit stop.

  25. It is, until you realise that "Ian" is a fake name and he's been wanted by the authorities for some time now, so he's used to running far and fast.

  26. Hello everyone, I recently ordered a cage from this company but it's now been 8 weeks since I've ordered it (originally they quoted a 4-5 week wait) and they still haven't delivered it. Last time I phoned them (over a week ago) they said it would be in production this week just gone and painted and delivered next week, but they aren't even picking up the phone anymore nor responding to e-mails. Has anyone else had problems with this company / ordered a cage from them recently? Many thanks Richard
