Well I’ve managed to get an engineers report from a Vauxhall specialist that dates the engine at 1990 so no cat needed. I’ve also just had a reply back from DVSA who have confirmed this would be enough proof of the age of the engine! So I’m gonna take this to the test station soon… I will update on progress! Hopefully with an MOT pass!10 points

I have an LED light but the carrier will not be available for a couple of months , might be worth asking on the xl part of the forum for someone post iva as they have a habit of falling off.1 point

That’s a huge understatement - in my view, for any competitive event, it is essential not advisable to replace the “jap” (aka chocolate) cosmetic roll bar with something that would actually save your life in the event of a rollover.1 point

Sorry, but I'm going to have to cancel this run. After some routine maintenance this week, oil change, new plugs etc. I now can't start the car. No spark from the coil.
