  1. Many of you will be aware of this book, published back in 2000: Due to it being out of print for many years and rare used copies being on sale for at least £35, I decided to try to track down the authors and see if I could permission to create a digital copy for the club's archives. After quite a bit of investigation work, I finally tracked down Jeremy Bouckley today and we had a lovely long chat on the phone. Now truth be told, I know about copyright laws and my begging bowl request was rather cheeky, so I wasn't surprised or upset when he very, very politely turned my request down. On the good news front though, he is working on an updated version of the book to bring it up to current, with plans to print and sell them. I've asked him to keep in touch with me with any developments on that front so I can pass it on to the rest of the club. Fingers crossed! Oh well, it was worth a try...

  2. A quick update to let you all know that our MX5 mapping service is now up and running. I'm currently up to capacity till mid march. And waiting list building up nicely. If you have an NC or an ND (pre 2024) Send me a line to discuss the possibility of having the best mapping service for MX5 that your engine could ask. Thanks maurici. Service descriptions specifically for the WSCC also updated in the second post

  3. I'm assisting @Nick Algar - Competition Secretary in the background with putting the details of 7s Speed Series entrants into a spreadsheet for him. It's usually a dull job but one I'm happy to do for a very good friend and great guy. Once in a while, an entry will come in that raises a chuckle, and that came in recently, so hats off to Simon Green @greeny for filling in the field asking for details of previous experience by answering "Beating Dave Banner up Harewood ;)" Over to you, @DaveBr - let the banter begin! 🤣

  4. I have a copy. Bought it from Westfield at Stoneleigh one year, I think it was out of publication but they were selling copies off. An up to date book would be great.

  8. That must be soo cool car! I have two Alfas 156 2,5 and 166 3,2 with Busso V6 engines (well three ALfas - 3rd is 156 factory track - cup car with 2.0Twinspark slightly modified) . Was always thinking "how to put Busso into 7type car..." (I know its differretn, but You know the lightness of kitcar, resposibility from steering, brakes, acceleration, no electronics and THIS engine with its exceptional character, resposibility, sound, it never sounds the same, on cold day, on hot day, ets, "its alive" , its really not just engine. Who had a chance to ride one will know. Only those FWD platforms I have it mounted to... not really are great for that engine. But in soo small lightweight car as Midlana - it must be really something! Wish It was announced 2-3 years ago, now too many kitrcars for me and no place, and those export troubles.. But someone is going to have LOOOT of fun with such legendary engine and looking at it - perfectly build and well thought out in detail car build with for sure lot of effort aroud that engine.
