  2. Been away this week but that has given the floor five days to harden. Wanted to get the car tucked away as the nights are getting colder and damper. It seems to have coped with being outside though, started first time tonight. It’s going to stop feeling as spacious unfortunately as I’ve got racking to go down the middle and the Carcoon to inflate. Still, much better than before finally. I’m going to paint my tool boards white to keep the brightness levels up 👍.

  4. The time is nearly here. Who from East Anglia area is going to the newark kit car show? It would be really nice to see you . If your thinking about it then theres a few tips below. If we get some names together we might be able to arrange convoys etc. So here is a step by step plan to get here! Ask the partner for permission to go and if its a no then buy some flowers and chocolates to change that. It may mean spending some money but 5iver should cover it. Dust off the car and chuck the roof away as there should be no rain. Gives more room if you buy summit. Get your wallet ready and pre print some fake reciepts to prove you were frugal with the money. Plan your journey now. Put a smile on your face and get ready to enjoy the show. Come on guys. Lets be seeing you.

  5. Not long now until show weekend 😎 we hope to see as many members attend this growing show as possible 👍 Please see below information for the weekend, anything I've missed please shout up! Friday 20th Sept set up is from 10am to 8pm, no access before 10am, van and show gear will arrive approx 12 noon. Any club member can come along to help set up 🙏 should only take a couple of hours 👍 Please use the main entrance for entry to the showground, clearly sign posted for kit cars. Club gazebo will be erected with tea urn and hot and cold drinks provided FOC with Charity donations appreciated 👍 Club pitch will have electric. Club pitch will have racing SIM. Club pitch will have BBQ. Club pitch is not as big as Malvern, there will be a smaller version of Westfield Avenue 😁 Club pitch should be easily located by the WSCC blow up arch. Club camping is also on our G3 pitch this will be behind cars/Westfield Avenue. There will be no official rota, we can decide on the day who does what.. main tasks are parking cars on Westfield Avenue, meet and greet, tea/coffee. Site plan below (not to scale!! WSCC plot is bigger than shown allowing for camping etc)

  9. Like all my projects, this one is running behind time and over budget 🤣. Finally finished painting the walls, looks loads brighter. Next stop floor, should be getting the paint next week. Then build some shelves and another work bench for car stuff and we are away. Reminder of the ‘before’ below, and now.

  10. Fixing a mate’s Audi A3 - he said a rear coil spring had gone, which is a doddle to replace. I said bring it over, I’ll sort that for you. Turned out to be a front spring - and they are notoriously difficult requiring removal of upright from driveshaft and a few less than common tools 🙄
