  1. First runout with half doors fitted. Surprised how much they reduce turbulence in the cockpit. Apologies to Stuart Davies for the blatant copying. Didn’t keep my head any warmer though.

  2. Non Westfield related…. Hired a decent ladder and cleaned our guttering out. We are right on the A30 in Crewkerne, albeit in a 20mph zone which everyone ignores. Nobody seemed to want to take the job on, so me and the Mrs parked our cars infront of the house early on Sunday morning and I got it done. I’m not a great fan of heights so the knees were knocking a bit, but we had a few comedy moments when trying to manoeuvre the ladder, and I managed to splatter the Mrs with mud dropped from height which fortunately she took on the chin, almost literally 🤣.

  3. No, in fact there is occasional debate in kit car circles whether driving a car with a full helmet on is technically legal at all on the public road. The reality is, in an open top car with no screen at least, I don't think anyone has ever been stopped for wearing a helmet, provided it didn't obstruct their vision. (never actually found a regulation prohibiting it personally, in the UK, anyway. But, if it in anyway hindered vision or "got in the way" of driving, it could possibly contribute to a careless or dangerous driving charge if you were really, really unlucky)

  4. Spookily, after copying your door idea, I also cleaned out gutters out Saturday just gone. I am also not great with heights but was a brave boy. Oddly enough i through a large lump of crud straight onto my wife’s head.

  9. Winter tinkering complete! just two ball joints and the most thorough clean i think shes had since i had it (8years) I got a DA for xmas so gave it a go. It has not got rid of the bigger marks as I did not know what i was doing so went cautious, but it got rid of the washing swirls of the slap a wash mit over it job that i like to do😜. I removed side stripes as they were starting to show there age but have added some decals this year. RL200 is the engine spec being a zetec r from Raceline. I was a little unsure of how they would come out but think it works well to break up the blue. Super happy with how its come out 👍 roll on summer!

  14. Same again - been in a light aircraft twice, fine. The high ropes course in front of my school kids ... Somewhat more embarrassing for me 🙂

  16. Totally by accident I presume... 🙂 What is it with tall people and fear of heights? I'm the same!

  19. I've found Sevens with windscreens have terrible buffeting. Unless you fit doors, or deflectors of course. My aeroscreen-only car has no buffeting at all. Obviously in rain it's hopeless but then I only take it out in the dry so all's good.

Please share with your members that they can book Early Bird tickets using the code KCFCCS24 at www.kimboltoncountryfayre.org/tickets Early Bird classic cars pay just £13.50 for the car and up to two occupants.
