I came on here looking for some info about pedal boxes a couple of weeks ago. A conversation with a new work colleague about cars was the first time I heard about this particular car. His late father built the car in 1992, he inherited it but was never keen on driving it as being a narrow bodied car he didn't fit in it very well. He mentioned he was thinking of selling it and was I interested. Id first looked at Westfields at Stoneleigh back around the time this was new and still have the catalogue I picked up. I hadn't really considered buying one until this came up. It's been off the road since around 2014. It has a new windscreen that needs fitting and will need at least a new set of tyres. The brake pedal is very high but it looks like it had new calipers and master cylinder at some point so it might just need the pushrod adjusting a bit otherwise I fit fairly well. I have yet to pick it up as I don't have anywhere to keep it. Hopefully I can sort this out in a couple of weeks and he is happy to store it until I can keep it safe. The car is from Sussex area originally, someone may even remember if the have been in the club for a long time. There is a lot of history with the car but it would be interesting to hear if anyone remembers it.

Little Sunday morning blat to the Sir Peter Scott lighthouse in Sutton Bridge, Lincolnshire. I had previously washed the car and put it away for the winter. Then Sunday morning came along with copious amounts of sunshine and the tax in place until the end of the month, so it had to be done! Unfortunately I now need to wash the car again as the roads were filthy... 🤣

Looks like I missed out on a great day out! Apologies I couldn't make it, I have been charging around like a lunatic with the youngest being home on his first 10 days leave after 7 weeks of basic training. Proud parent moment on Friday for his passing in parade

11 cars met at the museum (Barry and Thomas are out of shot as they were a little late looking for keys😮). Ian was 4th to arrive and still managed to bag his parking spot underneath the sign 😁 which also happened to be the best place for the panorama shot. We scurried inside and ordered our breakfast sandwiches and coffee, before excitedly chatting and catching up on everyone's news. Ian's hat was a purrfect match for his Bagpuss colour theme and the pink really suited him (love the sign on the wall behind Andy D, whose nickname is 'dad' 😆) We were just amazed at the fantastic autumn sunshine that we were blessed with. We went on our run and all the colours on the trees were glowing, it was just beautiful, what a great time of year to be out in a car without a roof. I had carefully chosen the route to reflect the fact that the Peak District was flooded only a week ago. We met some water and large puddles but nothing too concerning. We soon arrived at Massarella's restaurant in Rowsley, here we are parked up in the sun Here she is, naughty Rebecca, maintaining her terrible reputation for choosing the larger sized desserts (she will kill me when she reads this 😍) To be fair Rebecca is married to one of the Andy's so she is well trained, just look at these two, the two Andy's being mischievous. @AndrewBClarke you defo missed out today!! It's been another fun, fabulous day in our wonderful little cars with the most amazing people, no need to SORN let's keep doing this and winter will soon be over. Hi all, I am Dean am based in South Wales and just took delivery of a lovely mega S2000 from the great boys at toybox. Hopefully I can get to some local meets and find out a but more about working on these great cars and have some great blats 😉

Calling @Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO Out of the box, I seem to recall Ian finding the DASH2 didn’t have the extra sealing round the screen, leading to water getting in. Obviously, too late once the problem has happened, but if the drying out works, worth getting done.
