What a line up

What an amazing turnout we had this morning! John and I met up for a coffee at Ashby de la Zouch before a little run down the B roads to Mallory. Almost as soon as we had parked up we were joined by Tony, Hedley, Dale, Neal, Alex, Mark (Mark and Alex in their dailies) and Dave making a brilliant line up of Westies in amongst the classic cars and huge amounts of bikes. Dave soon followed in his beautiful Duratec engined car that sadly may be sold soon. It was a really great meet with live music, food and drink, raffles and an auction, with loads of amazing things to look at, Huggys really is a little treasure trove! Hedley was busy throughout the morning doing loads of content for social media, even interviewing us all about our cars.... I'm dreading seeing mine as I definitely have a face for radio What a line up! Despite the cold it was a brilliant morning. Great to meet Neal and Mark for the first time too (Neal I owe you a coffee at the next meet!)

Looking at selling my Westfield XTR4 reg no VX53WBE. I’ve owned the car since 2012, but for the last couple of years it's barely been used. So time to move on. I bought the car from Nick Algar at Playskool motorsport after he had rebuilt it. I think Nick is still around in Westfield circles. Specification for the car Westfield XTR4 as built by the factory as their demonstrator. Nitron suspension AP 4 pot front callipers Audi 1.8 Turbo engine previously putting out approx. 275 BHP DTA S60 ECU, with 2 switchable maps Audi gearbox The bodywork is in good all-round condition and Just had new Toyo tyres all round, new front pads, rear pads and callipers. Bolt on/off Cat for MOT. I’ve had the car maintained by Bogg Brothers, including improved gear linkage, replacement turbo pipe, new hand break cables. Various receipt for work by Bogg Brothers that I can share with anyone who seriously interested in the car. MOT’d in September 2022. And not been used since. Currently SORNed. I also have a spare XTR2 nose cone in matching orange, spare set of wheels with fairly old track tyres, and a few other spares like coil packs etc. Will include all these in the sale for the asking price. Looking for £19,500ish. Last XTR4 I’d seen for sale was something like £23k and that was a couple of years ago. Car is located in Horsforth, Leeds. Garry 07598237432

Wow, that brings back memories. Shame your not using it much Gary. The extra mods you have had done, sound very sensible. The factory gear linkage worked but needed some improvement. Certainly a very quick car, it was good to have the 2 maps to run low power one on road, other one more from track. This must be one of very few of these cars still in existence, so a very rare car that must add to it's value. Well done keeping it in good condition.

That's a good point. I'm using my father in law's Mondeo so I'll get this checked. I might have to consider looking for transport service and compare costs.

Still waiting for diffff.... (service need to fabricate laser-cut special tool to those side crown-nuts ) had a spare not used motorcycle alarm-immobilizer , installed it in road Westfield Also added hidden switch which turns off the siren. And deeply hidden another switching off whole alarm. What else to do... have some ideas
