  2. Morning all. As per title and for those local (ish), the next Footman James Coffee & Chrome meeting is at Prescott on Sunday 30th April. It's free and you also get a free bacon butty at the event, but you have to register and it WILL book out long before the event date. So if you want to go, book early. If we get a few Westies attending, perhaps we can convoy in. Booking link: https://www.footmanjames.co.uk/coffee-chrome-collective

  3. Sunday 8th January was the first meet of the 2023 calendar year and regardless of what the British weather could throw at us, it was well attended. Unfortunately the weather played havoc with the planned blat out, it was attempted by one over enthusiastic member, however after much aqua-planing, it was shortly aborted! The Barge Inn, our new venue, saw 15 members in attendance for what was to be the final meet as AO for Rob, after deciding to step down from the role. I would like to take this opportunity, along will all the other members, to thank you for all your hard work as AO, you have left some big shoes to fill, but at least now you have no excuse not to get that Westfield back on the road (its been off the road for nearly 4 years, sorry not sorry!) I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members who voted for me to become the new AO of this fantastic group, my name is Matt and I look forward to planning and meeting you all in the future at our local meets! Have a great January and keep an eye out for posts regarding our February meet!!

  9. Just so we are equal, I am pulling this stuff from thin air and gut feelings too 👍 My thoughts are that all over (or under) eating issues are ultimately driven by mental issues of a whole variety of causes, why else would perfectly intelligent human beings consistently cause themselves damage through these behaviours? So, given the number of people that are overweight, I just believe that the number of people whose poor eating is driven by mental issues, rather than just it being their fault, is much higher than your 20 to 25%. Those issues might be one of those mentioned above (depression, stress, anxiety, pain, grief etc), or something like addiction to sugars led by the tsunami of marketing which we all face everyday. This is not necessarily a mental health issue, but is still mental in origin and makes the issue not just one of fault.
