  1. Good if not a little frustrating. First session and getting on the power early said one thing. Slipping clutch. Doh must be all those hard launches at Blyton a couple of weeks ago sprinting. But we we used the @Rush Motorsport manyra of just send it and fix what's broken when we get home. some cracking trains at the end of the day. And as I have looked for new clutch plates quickly, because I'm at Hethel lotus test track sprinting next Sunday. I thought I would try @tkm_dave as he runs the same blade engine. Not only has he got a set but genuine honda sealed fresh plates. Just going to collect them now. Bonus.

  3. I've checked. .I'm still here. Retirement, no free time ( unless we are camping).... I've still not worked out why, but it's good. I'll be there soon.

  4. Does @Trevturtle still exist? Or is he taking ‘retirement’ to a whole new level 😀😀

  5. Hi all Being doing a bit of soul searching over the weekend and I cannot at this point bring myself to sell the car. Despite numerous potential buyers making contact with a few even offering to provide a deposit before seeing the car - I kept finding excuses for them not to see the car (just fitting a new starter motor, it's my lads birthday, busy at work, fitting a carbon fibre dash etc etc all true by the way). There's lots of great memories associated with car - the WSCC friends I have made, the road trips, Stoneleigh and the list goes on and on - and when I purchased the car in 2009 my kids were very young and so excited to see the car pull up on the drive! I have really enjoyed the time fettling over the last month getting the car for sale and I think the realisation started to kick in yesterday that I was actually going to be a but gut wrench to see the car go - so I am going to withdraw the car for sale for now and see how I feel about it when I got my list of fettling jobs done. Apologies to anyone who has shown interest in the car and I have not been as responsive as I should have been (hopefully the above sort of explains).

  8. Morning was a bit of a joke, the organiser said there were 15!!!! yes 15 red flags in the morning and I reckon we had 4 or 5 in the afternoon. As Simon said we had some good Westfield trains going in the afternoon and it was thoroughly enjoyable if not a little tiring I was try so hard to keep up with XTR Andy.

  12. I do not have a working car at the moment but I expect that to change tomorrow and will update this accordingly, just so you know. The weather is currently forecast as ok, so shall we start planning? Meet at The Bull I Thorn Cafe, Buxton, SK17 9QQ, 10am, we will eat and tyre kick before taking to the twisty tarmac in search of cake. A full range of breakfast food is on the menu as well as cakes at the Bull I Thorn. Anyone joining us?

  13. Bit of a stupid trick today resulting in a lost fuel filler cap and a black flag! Need a replacement fuel filler cap if anyone has a spare before I order something. Or if anyone is at Cadwell soon, it’s in the grass on the right hand side where you join the track 😁 reward for its safe return.

  14. On a side note……….have you seen how much a fuel filler is!🥲 Wish I had stopped until the track had closed.

  18. @Stuart I don't have it any more but that's a good question. Now you mention it I think it was personal cover so covered anything I drove. For me I only needed it for the camper so didn't matter but for others that would be an advantage

  19. not for the Westfield but the long camper van bit was with Auto Aid but its a bit dearer now £59 rings a bell but not sure. Went with Aplan as its insured with them as well as the Westfield and it was around £45

  20. Just had my garden office built, EPDM roof. They give a 20year guarantee, which I was surprised at. Just re-done old shed with bitumen sheet, that lasted 8 years. Guess you pay more lasts longer but still needs re-doing at some point. Andy

  21. I remember having a windscreen a long time ago.. It got wet on the outside as well as the inside, plus a layer of rain on the helmet visor! With an aeroscreen you only have the visor to keep clear, .. a bit of speed will do that, and visibility is much better. 👍

  27. After 11 years off the road and at least 3 years of restoration, my 30 year old is back on the road having passed its MOT this morning. Cosmetic bits to finish on the interior, suspension set up etc but it moves! Thanks to all the tips and guidance from this forum and members which has been invaluable.

  28. Reluctant Sale of My Westfield Mega S2000, 2013 Registered, 16,600 Miles I have owned the car for 3 and a bit years, and it has covered 13,500 miles with me! I gave it a full service when I had the car included Gearbox and diff oil changes. In my ownership it has always had what it has needed. The car has seen me through a couple of tours my favorite being the NC500, it is well known in the WSCC peak district and Warwickshire areas, It’s also seen me through a couple of track days, where it shows it’s true colours. The donor engine had 56000 miles on it but I have no written proof, I was able to track the builder through the very helpful WSCC forum and was able to find a lot of useful information about its history. Spec SEIW wide body FW rear bodywork V8 bonnet Carbon exhaust with De-cat link pipe (Original cat pipe included) Spax Double adjustable Dampers, ride height adjustable Playskol anti roll bars front and rear full “Playskol” roll Cage Odyssey lightweight battery Digital dash Lowered Floors Sports turbo seats (with red piping) Sparco 3” belts 7j Pro Race wheels Front (toyo Proxes R888R 195/50/15 new June 2020) 8J Pro race wheels rear (Toyo Proxes R888R 205/50/15 new July 2021) Hi-Spec four pot Callipers on front with vented discs (newly fitted Mintex 1144 Pads) Hispec upgraded rear callipers. 3.92 LSD (does have a small leak from the nose) Things I’ve upgraded in my ownership Clutch master cylinder for a 0.625, this has made the car even more of a pleasure to drive. Keyless ignition with immobilizer Rolling road tuned by BHPerformance September 2020, 230HP with print out Corner-weighted and fully poly-bushed suspension May 2021, Total weight with half tank fuel 656Kg New front wheel bearings Radtec 60mm extreme radiator re-cored by radtech June 2021 Hispec Front hubs will be replaced August 2021 (If they ever arrive) Removeable luggage rack that’s proven vital to and from trackdays and camping trips. Lots of receipts from work I've done and work previously, any inspection welcome, any other questions please ask as I have bound to have missed something. As mentioned, this is a reluctant sale, I have an opportunity and need the space/money, if it was meant to be then it'll go, if not I will continue to enjoy it as I have for the next 3 and a bit years! So serious interest only, no silly offers or timewaster please. Contact via PM or my phone; 07545899215 Mileage will increase as I will still be using the car. £22,500

  32. I definitely won't be there. You wouldn't believe running the back end of a Westfield over your foot could lay you up for several days.......
