Probably the worst kept secret, but I can now confirm that I am travelling on Wednesday to collect my Westie to return it back where it belongs. It looks like its going to need a bit fettling to correct the running issue, but hopefully nothing too major.5 points

Hi all, The Haynes Motor Museum has issued a notice to say that they will start the breakfast club meetings from April 4th. They appear to have worked with the local authority etc to test whether this will be viable and have (I guess tentative), agreement to go ahead. The first event is scheduled for April 4th and the tickets are £5.00 per car - limited to a max of 2 occupants - provided that local Covid-19 restrictions at the time permit - otherwise one person per car. The event is outside but with catering on site. Being ever the optimist, I have bought a ticket - but Haynes have said that any tickets bought will be rolled forward to another date if the vent is not able to go ahead. Link to the event page here: https://www.haynesmotormuseum.com/haynesbreakfastclub Link to a video clip of prior event here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWxORMx0cMs A charge up to Haynes for a lard roll and coffee sounds like heaven just now and so thought that I'd post to to see if anyone in the SW areas might fancy it? I've not had my car long enough to not be in some form of restrictions and so would be great to meet a few people. April 4th is quite early and so may be a bit weather dependant but come on: cars - a drive - lard - coffee - what's not to like! What do folks think? Thanks all, W1 point

I´m wondering what is happening lately. I don´t own a westfield anymore, and I come in here as normally the atmosphere is relaxed, free speech and even arguments while respectful were left alone, and where I have most of the time felt like at home... BUT In the last month, I have had one post removed with what I thought was good information, another one was closed "because was drifting from the OP purpose" after I did a massive, well informed and objective post, yet it was in "stuff and nosense..." where most of the posts do drift away... The last thing I have seen is a moderator opening a post, someone disagreeing, same moderator locking the post but leaving it live "to avoid future arguments". Well, if you are not ready for people disagreeing, beware on sharing your opinion... but sharing your opinion and then shutting the communication channel to sort of "stand your grounds" Isn´t the best way to run the place... I agree moderation is necessary, sometimes stuff get messy, there is SPAM and bots to keep in check... but having an excess of them, means also a messy line of moderation based in personal opinions rather than following an agreed "editorial line"... Aren´t we going a bit too far? or Have I just been unluky?1 point

Just discovered this vid. Well worth a watch. The F3 race at Cadwell in the second half is really good quality for it's age. It's a bit of an eye opener to see the lack of barriers in places, and no kerbs. A real barn at Barn corner too. 😉 (I actually attended a race at Rufforth too.. still got a program somewhere. ) Enjoy. 😎1 point

In the hope that they will get some use I've just bought a set of Nankang AR1 from Demon Tweeks so I can compete in the Speed Series road going class. But I was disconcerted to see that they are not directional, one tyre will run forward and the other backward, see the photo of my front wheels before fitting them to the car. DT say this is correct, can someone confirm please?1 point

https://www.firstlightoptics.com/skywatcher-star-adventurer/sky-watcher-38-stainless-steel-tripod.html It’s out of stock. Did try my camera tripod but only one 1/4” screw so not stable and difficult to find the target. The above tripod would be perfect, just to find one now.1 point

i was thinking that 10th May bit close to 29th April in case any car (or driver) issues.. .hence why I was looking at 24th for Donny Will watch the booking over next couple of days... If a group is going on 10th then that might sway me!!1 point

Any opinion which does not match mine is clearly wrong.. Moderation takes away my human right to tell them they are wrong. .1 point

MoT’s take it to your regular and trusted indy. alignment; Graham Hathaway Racing nr Maldon or Boss Racing at Brands Hatch tyres; almost anywhere but I use Trident at Marks Tey as they do most of my local race teams. servicing; do it yourself it’s easy!1 point

Have you considered fitting a later upper column. Weld the tabs on then bolt on. I have the original type fitted to my SE but I do not know if the IVA testers will accept it. Also for test I now have a IVA compliant steering wheel hub with a modern WF IVA steering wheel. You are welcome to view my set up (Covid safety observed) as I have an Allegro column in stock just in case I have a problem with IVA. I plan to final fit scuttle in the coming weeks.1 point
