Picked up westie last week, and spent this week getting to know it. Hoping for a good run Sunday to really experience car. Previous owner gave me a box of bits which included a brand new K&N filter still in box and recharge kit. Thought - I’ll get that on right away as existing filter was filthy. Took me an hour after removing jubilee clip to remove using feeler gauges as it was “welded” with age to Air inlet housing. No wonder mew filter was still in box. Oiled new filter, and when dry, Test drove it, what a difference.

Was going to put a Sam Smith tune because he’s a great big PU..........never mind 😂

Ive also always been a Ford man, Had a Kuga before and was fantastic, I near done a deal on another a few weeks ago, Was going to part ex my Focus ST but the Kuga had sold, It was 2 years old with 14k, For the same money i just traded the ST in for an Audi Q5 and just luv it, Pure Quality, Its the 190hp S-Line with all the black edition bits and bobs, Only thing i went another couple years older and few more miles on the Q5 as i had a budget to stick to.

Took the car for its first real run out today. Early start to get past Loch lomond before all the camper vans wake up. The prettiest Road to nowhere Castle stalker

Thanks - took some doing as I felt it was prudent to build a test server prior to the update. That took way longer that I'd hoped, but with literally MILLIONS of posts on here, I didn't want to take any chances on it all going horribly wrong!

Is it not like all elections.... You like non of them, but vote tactically to keep the one you hate most out. It was hard enough to believe that out of 66 million people we didn't have a better choice ourselves... but out of 325 million surely.

Just remembered, I had a short drive in a Merc GL A (I think) diesel. Really really nice and the gearbox was truly surprising. I popped it in manual and had a bit of a go and it was ace, close enough for to consider that maybe auto's aren't so bad after all. I must be getting old...
