I recently put up a post 'Duratec Overheating' Had great response from persons within the club to help resolve the situation. Many posts were put up including detailed pictures to make it easier for people like me !! Without this I'm sure a costly visit to the local garage would of been had. Instead I learnt a lot more about my car and resolved the issue. The cost of membership seems very small when expert advice is freely available Once again, many thanks. Regards Richard

Day 10 a short day today driving with a 175 miles covered but a fantastic climb on foot up to the highest suspension foot bridge and then on to a wonderful hotel in Leysin

Hello ladies and gentlemen as you know Kevin has moved his roll from area organiser back to member ,i have stepped in to help organise thins, so members were asking for an earlier meet time so they could attend there family matters on the Sunday meetings,so they suggested an earlier time of 9am to replace the 12 to 2 pm slot were are used to, OK some then said there would be no food served at the current venue the lodge hotel, so after lots of phone calls and arrangements by myself it seems the the Toby Carvery at Runwell will be the meet venue , as it has opening times from 7am Sundays, we will meet at 9am at this venue until 12 noon this allows time for members to carry out there family tasks later that day,there is a large car park leading around the building with plenty of room for our cars , please find in the message the address of this location, Toby Carvery Runwell Runwell Road, Wickford, Essex, SS11 7QJ As always let me know your thoughts and happy building your cars thanks Bill

Enjoying following your tour, please keep the updates coming. Believe you're heading to Versailles soon? Whilst the palace is interesting (once you get used to the throng photographing and taking "selfies" everywhere!), the gardens and estate (free to enter, small charge for the Trianon estate, from memory) are something else. Lots of peaceful walking, you can soon leave the sightseers behind, most seemed to ignore the estate when we were there last June!. You probably knew this already, but just in case! Hope this helps. Day 11 of our adventure saw 185 miles taking us through some beautiful mountains and hills travelling to the south of Geneva and then up to le Bourg in France a nice gentle drive stopping off at the most wonderful patisserie/ cafe where the selection of cakes was overwhelming, as we travelled through the french back roads the countryside changed in charaoto rolling hills and quaint traditonal villages before arriving at our accommodation for the night

So the lady in the hotel this morning at breakfast says "Did you cycle here, you look broken" 😂

Arrived at our hotel... My car died and these gorgeous monkeys saved the day. Gotta love em

@Ali and Gail the only thing better than cake is cake at 10 000 feet. Everyone should go to Switzerland, we were last there 9 years ago, before the Westfield arrived and I had long hair then too. I will be 50 in 2 years and Glen officially retires in 2 years so we will be celebrating with a trip to Grindlewald, we are saving up already. We are looking at your pictures and absolutely loving them Have a great time and be careful.

Weather was holding and with rain forecast for the next week and a half decided to get myself out. Spean Bridge to Banavie back road to avoid the World Mountain biking and turn right on the road to Mallaig. After Glenfinnan take the turning off to Lochalaine all the way to Strontian and back around by the Corran ferry through Fort William and home. Some great views but as ever when the road is great you never stop so piccys not as good as they should be!!

As far as I know in my country (Poland) there are only two Westfield:). Spent a few days up that area last month. We stayed in a house over the road from Glenfinnan church. It's a beautiful part of the world. Pic taken from the forestry road, across the loch towards Glenfinnan. Church monument and viaduct all in the background.

We’ll be up there next week - 7th to 10th June From Newcastle, stopovers at Perth, Inverness and Fort William.

A few of us Essex & Kent boys went to MK cars brekky meet near Whitham Essex. All 7 type were welcome, a Catering van driver actually said Hello to me but that was as much conversation he could muster.

Today only 80 miles to visit Gunter Sommer at high glen distillery in saints Maria Val Mustair Over the ofenpasse in glorious weather to the distillery where we were royally treated and Gunters hospitality knows no bounds we were treated to a tour of the distillery, museum and the smallest whisky bar on earth We were fed and watered and treated like family we then went up the umbrail pass to the snow gate and view point before heading home A wonderful day out relaxed and destressed Unfortunately the meal tonight was really bad and the service left a lot to be desired, strange as everybody else has been so wonderful

Day 6 of our adventure where do I begin Making a workaround to make sure folk had waypoints for the day as the socket and satnav power lead weren’t talking we headed off to the Rhine falls, what a stunning and breathtaking place. From here we headed towards Austria and used some tracks literally !!! To go over some mountain tops in the mist we then pressed on to Lantern where we went up a pass to where the snow was and back down as now time was getting on it was decided to head for Guarda but in a village we all became separated and the agreed “get to the hotel “ was implemented. So punched in quickest route and set off, as we passed a service area I spotted Ali and Gail along with Jim and Laura, so at least we were taking the same “quick “ route. Pulling off at Davos it said the Fluella pass was closed. Oops so pressed on south the Abula pass closed so carried on south through a pass and then over the Juliapasse, WOW, to say it was stunning is an understatement so climbing up the pass saw a remarkable amount of fuel and fun used despite the rain which turned to snow flakes, the higher we went, blasting up the hairpins in second and third with the odd grab of fourth, arms like popeye soon 🙂 Then over the top to saint moritz and up to Guarda , tunnels and passes in the dark made an altogether different experience mmmmmm 270 miles of ADVENTURE
