  3. I've now fitted my Carbon NV carbon tunnel cover and scuttle cover and I'm pretty chuffed with it Seeing how the forum loves a piccy (also showing the new FreeWheel steering wheel buttons).... Check out how the weave matches on the join just behind the gear lever - well pleased I'll get a photo of the scuttle later, complete with new battery cover and much tidied wiring

  4. Hi all Just to let you know that it will be the three of us as usual manning the stand - So Dick, Tony and myself (Clark or Cleggy) We shall have the the below garments with us (and a few odd discontinued garments from previous years). If we can clear some of those left over discontinued lines at this show I will look to introduce some more lines for next year to freshen things up a bit. However It was so warm last year that sales were 1/3 of what they normally would be - if it is as warm this time please remember to support us by buying your gear at the show and buy ahead for what might be for the seasons ahead This year rather than selling the WSCC sticker sheets we are going to give one away with every sale of merchandise (limited numbers so please be quick). Looking forwards to seeing you all again

  8. David If you can get your car sorted by July try and get to the WSCC Blyton event if you can. In fact come along anyway for the weekend to see how it all runs and meet up with other Westfield competitors. You will find the biggest Westfield entry of all the events too so lots of cars to check out and advice to be had. Welcome to the Speed Series.

  9. Pete Its not a case of threatening to pull the events. You are completely missing the point here. As John said there was a lot of vocal feedback from members complaining there were to few Southern events so steps were taken and we got Castle Combe back on the calendar, Goodwood for the first time in years, and made Gurston a weekend instead of one day and Wiscombe was put back on. We also increased the number of hill events so those that prefer Hillclimbing could in theory do a championship on them without going to a sprint. We also tried to get an extra Loton Park but we’re refused as they could not accommodate any more. I put a post up when the calendar was published imploring folk to support the events OR WE MAY NOT BE INVITED BACK by the organising club. We as a club cannot just decide where we want to go and have to be invited by the organising club. Combe and Goodwood in particular have been oversubscribed so when they see only one or two Westfield’s entering they can easily choose not to invite us back. Gurston had to be persuaded too as they can easily fill their events without us. Terry put a lot of work in to securing those invites following the off season feedback and so far they have received little support from competitors. Im sorry but it’s a bit disingenuous to accuse the SSOT of threatening to remove them from the calendar. They need to be supported by the competitors themselves or it will be out of our control. We have listened and taken action, but we can only do so much. IMHO the biggest put off for new competitors are unhelpful social media and forum posts which give the false impression this is not a friendly Championship. You know as well as anyone that once new competitors make it to the paddock they find that they are made welcome and are helped by others to get through the events with either advice or parts etc. Of course if there are fewer Westfield’s at the events that makes it more difficult too.

  10. Well wouldn't you know it? Now I've got a potential buyer who actually wants to come and see the car, and what does the weather do? Looks like the high wind and rain is set in for the day. At least tomorrow is looking better. I hope.

  12. I've had the "wanting" to do that for ages, but when it came do designing it I opted to make it more generic and cover all household invoices and documents, with the cars being assets to track against. Because I'm always losing stuff, I also track what folder the hard copy is in, and where that folder is kept! I completed the data structures then got distracted and manually added a shed load of documents. Next task is adding the imaging part. I've got a strong background in document imaging, OCR and archiving so I will look to incorporate a function of OCR, but it will definitely be a gimmick in terms of value added vs time spent. Sounds like I might have to tidy it up so you can have a poke around! Just logged on to Visual Studio and found an abandoned project called Vehicle History Manager. Looks like it was a Universal Windows app - that will be why I got fed up and abandoned it then

  13. I put a deposit down on a 1800 SEiW last night and collect it tonight after I finish work, it's just a nice standard example so I can do my own thing. I'm guessing it's been a members car at some point because it has club stickers on the roll bar, I'll update with photos tonight

  15. Even Sunday isn't looking too clever - single-digit temps until late morning and no higher that 12 degrees all day - I'm not sure I'm that hardy when all I have for heat is an Aldi heated seat cover... Let's just say I'm a 50/50 if its Sunday and a 0% if its Saturday
