  1. On many occaisions at car shows, motor racing events etc Richard Noble has been there getting donations fund raising for this and Thrust projects. I have 2 posters on my wall signed by him and Andy Green (at Le Mans) one year. Working tirelesly (British engineering at its best), Would we all be enjoying our cars if not for this sort of attitude, ignoring nay sayers etc. Good luck to Ian Warhurst.

  2. Thanks for all the kind remarks! All I need now is someone to make me an offer. Thought I'd try on here for a while, before advertising on Pistonheads. I'd like to see the car stay in the Club as well.

  4. That’s also common - they sometimes have the donor reg date as the first reg date even though the car was actually built and registered correctly! I saw all the original documents including SVA cert etc etc for a car “registered” in 1971 as a Westfield. It was 100% legit with all the provenance you could want so must have been a DVLA oversight with donor details at time of registration in the early 90’s.

  5. Mine looks like it was registered to the donor car as it comes back as 1983 0n the log book, but it says Westfield...... It has been on the road every year since it was built, but I'm not sure when that took place.

  6. Seeing as previous years I've been out in a 2003 1.6 Nissan Primera and a massive Mazda CX5, I wonder what I'll be overtaking you all in this year?

  9. I think that’s the reason so many incorrectly registered kits and “MK Duttons” are still out there - people just drive them in blissful ignorance and don’t have accidents!

  10. Just found these for wannabee racing drivers who dont win anything and can inflate them when they feel down and deflate them before people come round and get seen. Available from Argos and the like . Make you feel a winner if thats your bag.

  11. This proposal extends the life of an FIA 8853-2016 harness by an additional five years over the current FIA validity of five years. Harnesses to FIA 8853-2016 standard are tested to a greater loading than that of the previous standards and are a 6-point minimum. By extending the usable life it will encourage competitors to use the latest standard.

  12. Hmmmm almost managed! Struggling to get them in chronological order!! So, starting at the bottom is how I bought it, as a rolling chassis. Previously had a 5.6l V8 in it. Its a 2008 kit, was built by the previous owner to ~95% complete, but never finished and put into storage. I then bought it and put it in storage

I'm ok now. Mrs L will be referencing this for passouts next year

  14. Well, I've just got back from a quick run, just to make sure everything was ok after doing a few bits. I'd forgotten just how quick it was, no doubt partly because the car is so light, but even so for an engine of 1330cc., and the original was 45 years or more old, it really is a credit to Peter May. It just pulls like a train at all revs, right up to top gear. Almost sorry I was selling, until I struggled to get myself out of the car!
