  1. Whilst assembling my diff I found a pair of M12 x 120 mm bolts missing but I did have a pair of M10. Obviously an error on packing. I spoke to Ian from WF (He's the man that loads you kit in your van) at about half two yesterday, explained the problem and the bolts arrived today at around twelve. Now that's impressive, credit where credit is due.

  4. I was a member of the RAC for a few years and found them to be great. I have since joined Grinder on the internet and now whenever I break down in a lay-by there are a few helpful chaps turn up within 15 minutes. Very efficient.

  8. @Shane2me I couldn't find any better pics to show the hoop under the gearbox, so I've taken some fresh ones for you:. Note these were with no driver in. I suspect the hoop will be circa 10mm lower with me in (I'm about 70kgs)! Side view ground clearance to hoop = 83mm View from front showing hoop in respect to engine sump Sump clearance from side 90mm seat mount studs to floor clearance circa 115mm Battery tray bottom to ground clearance circa 145mm

  16. I can say that it not a glis glis because they have bushy tails and don't live in that part of the world. They are found only within a radius of Tring, or traditionally a triangle bounded by Beaconsfield, Aylesbury and High Wycombe. They are spreading outside that area now though. This one 'accidentally' stepped into an electronic rat trap in my shed.

  19. I emailed from my work email to the Gmail account you gave... The Email above is recieving emails and working... to many emails!... Sometimes people use a Dash not an underscore? Usually I get it a few days later after its been in the catchall. Email content... slightly edited for public reading Good morning Julian We supplied Westfield for may years and throughout the whole time I believe we supplied the same part numbers. But throughout the time there was various changes in the designs. The outcome is that I've seen dampers with the same part number which are quite different. Also there was no account for live, independent axle valving requirement differences. ! The dampers are £75 + VAT each. Front/ rear.... And i can tweak the specs to what you need, There's almost no internal or external parts of the dampers common to the old dampers but they will have a similar appearance. The Krypton range of dampers offer a great range of flexibility in use. My car is Largely road use and rides nasties better than my 3 series BMW, But I also do a few track days and nothing Westfieldy passes me unless it has seriously more power. Maybe not of interest can offer other powder coat colours. Koni red, British racing green, royal blue, black, silver, white... But my favourite is Spax Yellow... I'm not 100% of the exact details of the Pre-lit's.. To be sure we supply the right dampers I will need the Static length (the length of the dampers at normal ride height) and the extended length of the dampers with the wheels off the ground. Measured centre to centre of the bushes. It would be good to have a few pictures also. Sometimes the loops are larger to allow clearance to brackets...Other times not! ... The joys of kit cars / low volume cars I'm on holiday next week and for right or wrong no longer pick up emails/ stress over emails when they arrive. I have a week of ignorance and deal with the fall out on returning.

  20. I mount my No plate with a couple of fairly soft rubber bobbins (bit like https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ANTI-VIBRATION-RUBBER-BOBBIN-MOUNT-10x10-M4-MALE-6mm-MALE-6mm-45A/202322717794?hash=item2f1b5fac62:g:N5gAAOSwCpRbCPT8) This allows the plate to fold underneath then spring back if you do hit a speedbump, or front kerb, and stops you cracking the plate, or worse, pulling a chunk out of the nosecone. Dave.
