  2. Just a quick post to give a thumbs up to the Westfield team. Today I emailed Ian Galloway at the factory with a technical question. He sent 2 emails back in next to no time with the answers I needed

  3. Luckily we've not had a fatal or serious injury in over 35 years but we do Invest heavily in training and technology, but some of the things I hear at seminars etc really make you think. Also as O license holder it would be me in the dock and that is enough to make me ensure we do things right.

  4. A while back @Geoffrey (Buttercup) - North Yorkshire AO put a post on Facebook asking for someone to paint a clear body for a radio controlled car, I saw it when I'd come in from the pub and replied saying I'd have a go. I've never painted one before but thought it can't be too difficult. I got the body from him in April, and got straight on with it yesterday. Clear bodies are painted from the inside with the detail done first, so after watching a couple of YouTube videos and asking in a local radio controlled shop I gave it a go.

  5. I finished it this morning ready to take with me on the run to the sun where I was meeting Geoffrey, who couldn'thave been happier with the car, kid in a sweet shop springs to mind. Thanks for the fish and chips. Let's see some photos of it in action.

  8. Folks... Thanks so much to everyone for coming along and to those that have made this weekend possible. It's a fitting celebration and I'm sad that I can't be there. I hope you all have a great day (or two) and I really look forward to reading about the weekend and seeing some pics and video of the great times I'll have missed. Play safe and above all, enjoy

  15. Yep, years ago now, but had the misfortune to watch a bin man being killed by his own lorry; walking behind it, as it reversed, he stumbled and fell. The driver, didn’t notice. Myself and several neighbours happened to see. But ironically, the driver couldn’t hear us shouting over the sound of the reversing siren on top of the engine noise.
