Having just seen this on episode 4 of the Grand Tour: https://www.theverge.com/2017/3/1/14779540/mclaren-supercar-transforming-dashboard-video I've got to ask why! Surely with modern electronic dashes why didn't they just change screen config like I can do on my Dash2 or can be done on the Aim units. The rotating Dash is clearly adding uneneccsary weight for the sake of bling Any thoughts @Mistercorn

Thats about right for a Zetec. Have you a cat in the exhaust ? A good one with throttle bodies is 175 to 180 bhp , so thats what could happen with just changing them. I had 180 bhp on my old Westie with a 2 ltr blacktop at Northampton Motorsport. The engines are great and shows how they are strangled in a production car.

I had similar thoughts about what to do with them when not in use so I rigged up a support for wind deflectors or side screens on the garage wall,I used a few bits of spare timber and couple of hinges. To support the screens or deflectors I purchased four female mounts. The pictures show it with the side screens attached, I've hinged it so that when the with the wind deflectors attached I have it flat to the wall but with the side screens attached I open it up 90 degrees so that the side screens are flat to the wall. I know the pics are not brilliant but I hope they give you an idea of what I've done.

I had a set of the original ill-fated sticky ITB's which have been replaced by OMEX with a new set and I like them very much. I gained about 18 hp and 10ft/lbs (in the midrange) and that's a good thing of course but the thing I really like is the throttle response. The tip-in is very crisp an immediate and this is no doubt aided by the extra midrange grunt. I like mine and would buy them again. dave P.S. - Happy New Year!

Really enjoyed the whole show, was quite impressed with the Nomad, more capable on the road than I’d ever have guessed, though fun watching the long travel suspension in the corners! i loved the rotating dash, on the Mclaren, though I think (given the opportunity) I’d probably only ever use it to make me chuckle while sat stationary in traffic jams, at the lights etc. Was also quite impressed at how far the TT has come since my BiL had one of the early ones.

Surely there are more things for be aware of on the road, kerbs, debris etc. Not good publicity for the Nomad breaking on camera! I enjoyed all the show and like the bafoonry

I made a pair today, they were easy to make and the sound quality exceeded my expectations. I've not had the chance to test the range on the road but around the house they are very good, thanks for the information on how to make them
