  1. Thanks John, Siltech are doing their best and are hopeful they will get it done and have made 70% of the front chassis already, carbon fibre has been ordered, sump repaired so as long as nothing else is found to be broken we should be there. Steve is feeling worse today but he is not getting much sympathy! We have decided that even if the car is not ready we will still come as it is the end of the season and I am sure someone will need some help over the weekend!

  2. Following on from another recent thread where "Caterhams" were mentioned, I confessed to nearly going down that route, until I saw sense. However, one of my guilty pleasures is to keep an eye on any CSRs up for sale. Just out of curiosity really. I stumbled upon this one this morning. https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/caterham/all-models/caterham-csr260/7491211 Now, it seems a very nice car. The price is about the going rate and it's only done 3172 miles. Then I noticed it was registered April 2008: Thats just over 3000 miles in about 10 years (from the info it works out at 334 miles per year). I can manage that on a decent run out, especially in the summer months..! What on earth is the point?

  4. Isn't the objective of removing all the seat padding and having a carbon bucket for weight saving somewhat defeated by instead having the padding on your butt, hips and thighs..? Sure the 'dry weight' is reduced but... In the event of a frontal, my steering wheel and dash will be protected by my Homer belly.

  8. Can I say something weird? You need a propper race Wet tyre to get better performance in wet than a Toyo 888 in wet or damp condition... And @AdamR and myself, prooved that last season with our wet performance with semislick over than people trying to swap to road tyres, R1R's and some ones with propper wets... For a road tyre being more effective on water over a Toyo 888, the ammount of water has to be that hughe that you shouldn't be on track... What i mean is that probably, you will put something with more groove on it, and you may feel dissapointed as grip in wet/damp will not improve, and probably will decrease.

  9. Ryanair 15 Apr 2011 https://www.eyeonspain.com/forums/posts-long-13120.aspx alleges 'Jo Heath, who suffers from multiple sclerosis, was left 'humiliated' and stranded on the runway and had no means of boarding the plane by herself. Her husband Paul had to give her a fireman's lift onto the aircraft. Northampton County Court awarded her £1,750 after it ruled the airline broke disability discrimination laws and breached its contract with Heath when its staff refused to help the couple'. I have never used Ryanair and never will. From what I see they only improve or obey the law when forced to do so.
