Technically I am! My degree was in "Industrial Design (Engineering)" - and I have a bit of paper proving it - despite never doing any real Engineering and now I'm more of a cross between a programmer and a designer. Just wait for the advert in around 2040 when I eventually sell mine to fund a self driving mobility scooter - Built by a qualified Numerical Engineering Reactive Designer or NERD for short2 points

I do this with SKCC every year. Used the car transporter train, sent cars ahead on a lorry and flew down. Mostly we drive there via the Black forest, Vosges mountains. Its a full on driving trip, on the road by 7am , I'm sure I could share the ITN files. Video of a previous trip.2 points

Turn your sound up and listen to these. Angry Lambo's, N/A engines to die for. Listen to hear who lifts on the bends. Totally brilliant and is every year1 point

I would say id be looking at a well set up etc car over power. Having a car set up properly is worth more than an extra 20 bhp for example1 point

In hindsight, that was not the best video to spark up whilst on a work conference call. On the plus side the engine roar achieved the unique event of making my bosses boss stop talking for a few seconds (as I desperately tried to mute my home laptop) And some advice to the group... never mute your own connection to the call, seeing the little mute icon appear next to your name is a sure fire admission of guilt.1 point

Assuming we don't have any issues after Friday's track day and the weather is reasonable on Saturday, we will see you at McD's.1 point

So Wednesday the forecast was looking good so we thought why not and we are now sat in a B and B in Keswick. I got on booking.com to sort accommodation till Monday then got loads of routes and passes to do from @Dave (OnliestSmeg) - Manchester AO Who very kindly put them on Google maps and emailed them to me. We left Brum Thursday morning heading up cross country to the lovely Peak District. I have to thank @Julie Hall - AO Representative, Peak District AO As we done a few runs round them with her and others so we know them ok ish now. The best bit was lunch on Mam Tour before heading to the Snake Pass and in to the Dales via all the reservoirs and Holmfirth. We then headed to Pike End road of the A672 to Sowerby bridge and cross country to north to Wiggleswoth where we stopped over. This morning back on the road via Settle, Hawes and the across to the Lakes via Sedburgh, Windemere and Ambelside. We then did the Inner lakes passes circuit including Wrynose and Hardknott, absolutely fantastic. We doing them in reverse tomorrow. Need a shower and a pint now.1 point

I had the same issue with my Seight, had 30psi all round when I picked it up from the previous owner, this was the best advice I found:- "The correct tyre pressures depends on the weight of your car (including passengers and luggage so this will vary), and the size and make of tyres. You will need the following information to calculate correct PSI for any given combination: (Gross) weight of vehicle load rating of tyres at max PSI (the sidewall will have this information - something like 600kg at 44 PSI etc) For example, the weight of my legacy with some passengers and baggage I've worked out at 1700kg My Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD2s are rated for 545KG at 44 PSI so: 545kg x 4 = 2180kg (max load) 2180 (combined max load) ÷ 1700 (vehicle weight) = 1.28 44 (max tyre PSI) ÷ 1.28 = 34.31 So you should inflate your tyres to 34 PSI / 2.4 bar in that example." I run 18 psi all round, Cheers1 point
