Can I remind everyone that this is a for sale advert you're trampling all over, and certainly not the place for some of the discussion that's going on. The thread has now been moderated to remove the drift.6 points

I sent off my postal vote earlier in the week. I can't ever remember feeling so uninspired and negative about the calibre of our leading politicians. UK politics is in a very very sad state with no vision or leadership at all. It is just populist, short term soundbite driven and with social and mainstream media scrutiny and distortion I can't see it attracting anyone decent. David4 points

Yes, and it looks like I am going to be the last person in the house to read it. The girls now have this "spot Dad's car" game, which has to run its course before they will hand it over!2 points

Reminder of the North London run out this Sunday. Weather looks good, see you at the Duke pub Cheers Ian2 points

It is a little vague isnt it!? It is an old airfield which they can set-up as a circuit but it has the added bonus of lots of run off etc...some more traditional circuits only have a metre or two between the circuit and the barriers. My first trackday was at Cadwell about 15 years ago and I made it to the barrier in a 205 GTI, if it would of been an airfield it probably wouldnt have been a problem! Here is the link for it; http://www.javelintrackdays.co.uk/trackdays/index.php?route=product/product&path=77&product_id=3862 points

Was it with one trouser leg rolled up, your left breast bared whilst whistling the Star Spangled Banner????2 points

How about this, only £6600 and half the miles, six doors and a boot, bags of room and loads of toys, even a way to isolate the noise of the rest of the family at the push of a button!2 points

Can't believe we started this road trip 13 days ago with lovely @Julie Hall - AO Representative, Peak District AO and Glen in the Peaks district and we will tomorrow say good bye some where in the Pennines to the legend that is @Geoffrey (Buttercup) - North Yorkshire AO who we have made many great memories with and not forgetting @ziplob and @Garyt who have also become our friends and added so much to this fantastic trip exploring the wonderful country that is Scotland and the Orkneys. Love to you all Monkey, Midge and Mrs P X2 points

No problem helping, I tried last year to try and make sure that we parked in some sort of order with a sensible gap between cars.1 point

In addition, please remember theses are for sale adverts. A limited amount of "nice car" etc posts to bump up the threads position will be permitted, but other people's for sale threads are not the place for extensive discussions of the merits or otherwise of the car in question, it's price or any related item. If you wish to conduct such conversations, please respect the original poster and start a sepperate thread in the relevant Boardroom section, you can always link to the original for sale advert. Irrelevant post, and excessive bumping will be removed by moderators.1 point

Grizzlee, Do you think we should tell John that Mr Grumpy won't be ready this week. I know we promised but unfortunately our trip to Scotland just turned up out of the blue.1 point

I sort of agree, though the PM follow up should be pretty quick. What does often catch people out though, are two things, one is that the parts for sale may we'll be known about elsewhere; note I phrased that carefully, as they're not necessarily advertised somewhere else, it's often just word of mouth that sees someone contact the seller directly, which obviously bypasses the Boardroom, and the second... I'll be honest, this is one of my pet peeves, but it's when someone see's the advert and contacts the buyer, arranging a deal. Whether by PM or sometimes it's someone they know and can phone etc. But, this is the bit that winds me up (as someone who buys off the Boardroom myself), is when neither the buyer nor the seller posts anything on the thread to say the item is sold. As a club, we're no where near as onerous as some clubs I've been a member of when it comes to buying and selling rules for adverts, but one of the things we do ask ALL sellers to do please, is when an item is sold, edit the first post of your forms sale thread to reflect the fact, AND/OR edit the threads title to include the word SOLD. I and the other moderators do end up wasting time when we spot it, editing the titles to show items have sold, but no one can mind read if the fact isn't mentioned anywhere in a thread. (NB, this time, please don't take this as a dig against the original poster oft his thread, it's aimed more generally!)1 point

Lucky guys going to Scotland. I used to live up there and there are truly brilliant roads, especially on the west coast. Watch the main roads on Skye - they are very bad a full of potholes! I don't know your route but the Kyle of Lochalsh to Fort William road is wonderful. Soon as I get a Westy or equivalent I'll be heading up there. Safe trip!1 point

We like any interesting pictures, Westfields, parts or other odd vehicles is generally the form! BTW from the Midlands.1 point

Absolutely brilliant car, buy it. BUT not the DSG version. The weight of the gearbox makes the car very nose heavy and effects the drive, if you get a chance to test drive both you will notice the difference. A manual will be the best car you have ever bought.1 point

Should be there Thursday late afternoon - also have a spare 3 day ticket but think @Madda has first dibs. Happy to pitch up next to anyone as I always use earplugs when camping1 point

Welcome! Ignore those torque comments regarding S2000's, torque be fixed, ugly can't oh, and just to remind everyone that it's got an inside out washing machine under the bonnet, it makes funny whoosy sounds! Seriously though, they're both damn fine cars, with very different characters, so literally something to appeal to everyone.1 point
