Close to me, so weather permitting I'd probably go on one of the days. Funny you need an MSA license when the residents of Coventry use the ring road as a race track every day, and many of them don't even have a driving license!

I do like my Healthy Brekky at North Weald, should be there.

Detailed below is my proposed route down from the Orkneys to get to Killin. I would rather go the west coast than go the east coast. The route takes us through Avimore but from here I want to get to Killin whilst avoiding as much of the A9 as I can. I like the road from Tummel Bridge to Killin. Does anyone have any thoughts on how I can avoid the A9 and go on "pretty" roads

Hi, I'm Brad, living in Glasgow since 2007, originally from New Zealand - thought I should introduce myself as I have added some posts already. Have just bought a 1999 SEIW 1800 Zetec, in black with V8 nose and bonnet, on N.Ireland plates, factory built with full GT options. I have wanted a 7-esque for years (NZ has four manufacturers) but as this is my 38th car, so many others got in the way, including a long list of now classic 70's and 80's RWD JDM's. I'm also on my 30th motorbike. Having sold my 4th MX5 last year and also making the heart-wrenching decision to sell the classic car I still had in NZ (owned for 17 years) because it didn't look like I was moving back home anytime soon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWJ97w1vRrg I decided on a Westfield for a new toy. My wife and I toured alot in the MX5's, so the Westfield needed to be in a GT spec. Every car and bike I've owned has been modified in some way large or small by myself, and would have liked to have built a Westfield, but the missus was not impressed by the two years she was a garage-widow when I built our camper https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SweT1DuQbqA so a ready-built car was the only option (for my survival!), and we're rapt with the Westfield we have found. Only had a month and have already started sorting wee issues and adding tweeks and mods.

That's my understanding too. I had to scrap 2 cars for my current project. Kept chassis numbers from both, disposed of the rest, got them both on SORN, took LOTS of pictures of the scrapping process.

I cut out the VIN plates (not sure if that was necessary) and sent the shell for scrap (as scrap metal, not a scrap car). I think the V5 was used in the registration process.

I must have gone top of the list with that one judging from the lack of replies from Julie!

Here is a route for one of our days when we stay in Killin. This will be a nice steady day as we will have done a lot of driving by this stage and will be a nice day to recover. Comments welcome.

As been said above, Leadhills has some excellent roads and coming up through Ayrshire as well. I also stay 10min from Dumbarton, if you's need any help.

I thought some members might get a kick out of this photo. I compete in SCCA Solo (i.e. autocross) here in the USA and it seems rare that I end up with a good photo of my driving....so when a good one pops up I feel compelled to share. Solo, or autocross, is a timed event held in a big parking lot where traffic cones are used to define a course. One driver at a time drives the course as quickly as they can and their best time of the day is the only one that counts. Typically a course is about 60ish seconds long and we take 8-10 runs in a day. Top speeds for the fastest cars are in the 65mph range. on smaller lots and about 80 mph on larger lots. Here I'm doing my best to rip those wide Avons off the rims and pulling hard out of the corner. Man is that fun. dave
